Mario's Wood Fired Pizza

Our traditional Christmas Eve supper for 15 years. Pizza is excellent, wonderful flavor and crust. Pasta is great portions plentiful family friendly service.

Hope for good pizza in Putnam county is not lost! Mario's is fantastic I'm just disappointed I didn't try it earlier. I really consider it the best in the county. Wood fired for nice crispy crust with awesome sauce.

A tiny hole-in-the-wall place with AMAZING Italian food. The owners are very often there cooking and waiting tables. They're great people. Support this place, you won't be disappointed. Their pizza is great and the entrees are large and tasty. Never been disappointed here. Visualizza piatti

Mario has amazing Italian food and has never let us down. I have used Mario many times in the past for parties and events. Mario handled our family event exceptionally well. He and Jamie brought along their brick, wood-fired pizza oven and prepared each pizza to perfection, catering to every taste. It's clear that Mario invests 200% into what they do. We highly recommend Mario's. They also have a restaurant located on Route 6 in Mahopac. Give it a try—you won’t be disappointed!

This man makes a killer cake. Dough is lace notch, I can drink a glass of its sauce it is so good, cheese is only salty enough. Put them together, in a wood stove, and you have perfection. If you like gumy roasted Calamari, don't order it here. The Calamari is tender as it should be. The best ingredients and the right technique. The place is a pizzeria, small and clean. I wasn't satisfied with my first experience at this restaurant. I called to order a pizza for pickup, and the girl on the phone had a really unpleasant attitude. When I asked for a large pizza, she rudely informed me that they only serve personal-sized pizzas, and her tone was stressed and unfriendly. I felt put off by her response and decided not to order a personal pizza either. I won’t be returning to this restaurant in the future.

Good Italian pizza place for takeout. Also has a dining area, indoors and outdoors. Serves a town with large Italian community. So, no pizza place would survive here if serving bad Italian food. Ordered from them several times. Most recently, picked up a pie and opened it back at home to discover it was completely burned. Gave them a call and they delivered another one to me for free and were very apologetic . Things happen everywhere but readiness to correct such mishaps is what counts most. I will be ordering from them again.

Just one word: WOW! This was my first time visiting Mario's Pizza, and my only regret is that I hadn't tried it sooner! Hand down, best pizza in Mahopac! I'm a city gal, and transplant to the suburbs, and if I didn't know any better, I would swear that I was having Brooklyn pizza! I ordered a personal pie with pepperoni. Everything from the crust, to the sauce, and the cheese, was just delicious. It was great watching Mario make out pizza from scratch, and we felt like appreciated customers.
