Best authentic Jamaican food in the area! The Oxtail dinner with cabbage and plantains was fantastic and the portions are great for the price. The order was prepared and delivered fast. I will definitely continue to order from Mark's Place.

The food was incredibly flavorful! It's the best Jamaican restaurant in New Jersey—nothing compares! The staff were extremely friendly, and the portion sizes were more than generous. You definitely get your money's worth! I would give MARKS a hundred thousand stars!

First order from this restaurant since I was in New Jersey and Boy oh Boy!!! Eat nice, seasoned. I called and asked for my fish to have spicy and the cook surely attracted me!!!! Delicious food, excellent service, generous portions, and a fantastic atmosphere. The oxtail, jerk chicken, and stewed chicken are consistently excellent. They also offer an incredibly tasty carrot juice that is quite addictive, although I believe it's seasonal. Whenever it's available, I make sure to get some! I had the lunch special featuring curry chicken and roasted chicken, and it was fantastic! The portion sizes are generous and the prices are unbeatable. The curry chicken was incredibly flavorful, a real delight to my taste buds. The roasted chicken was perfectly cooked; the meat practically fell off the bone. The service was friendly, the restaurant was clean, and there was always a smile when I walked in. It's a great choice, and you definitely won't be disappointed!

This was my first visit to the restaurant, and I was really impressed! The food looked exactly like the pictures, and the taste lived up to the rave reviews—simply amazing! The dishes were well-seasoned, especially the meat on the bone. I ordered the Combo Curry Chicken and the Ruck Chicken Classic. Normally, I don’t eat the bones, but I have to say, they were truly delectable! The prices were reasonable, and everything was phenomenal! If I wake up from this delicious experience feeling great, I’ll definitely be back at Mark's Place!

I'm surprised how this place isn't more popular- stumbled into this place when I googled Caribbean food having grown tired of The Islander (another carib restaurant nearby) lunch specials. Came here and ordered the small Jerk Chicken/BBQ chicken half-half with rice and beans. Jerk Chicken being the standard for measurement in my rating, I can say that this is the best Jerk I've had- crisp on the outside, fall-off-the-bone tender on the inside. Mark is also very generous with his helpings and ladles out hugeass portions if you're an eater (pictured food is the 7 dollar lunch), while being really congenial otherwise- a very welcoming place.
