"Mike's use to be THE BEST SEAFOOD place around to me. It's seem like since Hurricane Ida, they done fell off. you're definitely not getting your money's worth these days. Went last night for a birthday occasion and usually your food is cooked to order but that wasn't the case last night. It had at least 13 people in our group and our food was out in less than 10 minutes and it was luke warm. they must've given me the fries out the bottom of the bag because I had all pieces and they were oily. The hush puppies are usually my favorite but they were soaked in oil too. Last night just wasn't my night at all. I usually try not to be negative but Mike's need to step their game BACK UP. I feel some type of way because I spent over $100 and I feel like that was money down the drain. I use to visit at least 2 or 3 times a week but lately it a no go for me."

"Mid October we ate at this restaurant since we were at Amite and had heard such rave reviews about it. This was our first time going here and we had a party of four. When we walked in there wasn't that many people in there yet it took a few minutes before anybody was able to sear us. The first impression of the place seems a little fancier than most restaurants, but not anything extravagant. It was our first time here so after placing our order for our drinks, we requested more time to look at the menu. The waitress came back twice and we finally placed our order. There's a lot on the menu to choose from and it had the sink in a little bit as to exactly what I want. Most of us decided to go with the sushi varieties and my son ordered a cheeseburger. He likes a plain cheeseburger so it's not anything extravagant. The order took quite a while to come to the table and I imagine it was probably because of the sushi. I will say that it wasn't that bad and it was okay. The cheeseburger however, the bun was burnt and the meat itself was dry. Upon finishing my meal it took a while for anybody to come by and take our payment or give us the bill. The waitress came back I believe once to fill our drinks which is not quite enough service. The extremely long wait for a bill and the burnt cheeseburger is what made me decide. I will not be back. Also the cost was a little bit steep for the quality and the service was very poor. I'm not sure what people rave about when it comes to this place, but definitely to my experience it was very low on a scale of quality. If I were in Amite again and was looking to dine out. I would definitely make an effort to drive back to Hammond for a choice of dining. I think it's a shame that the place has some originality but yet it was very disappointing. It's got potential however the waitress that we had provided poor service, the wait time to be seated even though there was nobody in front of us and there was only a few tables occupied, combined with the price of the items would make me recommend anywhere but this place. This is an unbiased and honest review and it's not anything other. I've personally never heard of the place and it was other people who had told me of it. I'm not sure what they're used to but my experience was not a good one. I only took what was remaining home for the dogs. But I threw the bun away because it was definitely burnt. Black carbon that's actually a carcinogen when it gets to this point. My son actually ate half of it and normally he would eat the whole thing at other places. Anybody who has any food experience working in a kitchen should have seen that this was unacceptable. I want to say out of all fairness I really did enjoy the place. I think it's original and different. I think some things could have been improved, however it may have just been a bad day for someone. We're all humans and things happen. More than likely I'll try this place again."

"Music was loud. They turned it up louder during one song. We could not carry a conversation because it was so loud. Asked them if they could lower it and was informed that they refuse to lower the volume. People go for dinner and conversation; not to scream over music. It wasn’t a concert. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 1"

"Stopped here as I normally do to grab a tea. Picked up a snack. Decided on the pretzel. Was so burnt. One bite could tell it was burnt without even looking at It. This should not have even been served to me. Had I not of already driven off I would have asked for another. Considering this was not a high price item. Not that anything at sonic is. The server should have never brought out in the first place. Very disappointed. I'll go back and I'm sure I'll order the same. Hopefully when I bite into my pretzel it will not have the same burnt taste. I'll make a point if not ordering online this time. Upon ordering I will Blatantly ask them not to burn my pretzel."

"Oh no, no, no. This place was really disappointing. We visited on Saturday afternoon for lunch and decided to try the buffet, hoping for some down-home country cooking. Unfortunately, it felt more like a trip to the canned food aisle. The greens were from Old Glory, the yams from Bruce's, and the beets from Walmart. They served boxed mashed potatoes and packet gravy too. The only edible item was the fried chicken; everything else was a letdown, especially the pork chops, which were so over-fried they could break a tooth. Honestly, if their can opener broke, they might have to shut down! The buffet was poorly stocked with barely edible options, and the clientele seemed to consist mostly of elderly patrons. To top it off, there was sticky stuff all over my chair. I walked away feeling like I wasted $25."
