"Truly a 5-star restaurant, so why the 4-star rating? A group of 7 of us visited for an amazing meal. Service was amazing, even though they were short that night. Food was prepared well, and came out hot and tasty. We asked for one of the entrees to be split for 2, and they happily did so. The split plates were exactly what we were looking for (see the pic).The 4-star rating is because they basically took 2 tables and pushed them together to form a rectangle against a wall. So, 2 of our group were pushed against the wall, 2 had the table split exactly between them and 1 was on the end. They also did the same thing to another group right next to us. So, the 2 guests on the end from each party were back-to-back. That kept the server from delivering plates and drinks to everyone at the table. We had to pass things back and forth to the server.We know things are tough with short-staffing, but the restaurant made the situation worse by cramming extra seats onto tables and spaces that could not reasonably support the extra people.So, will we come back? Definitely yes, but will likely not do so again with a party larger than 4. The food was truly amazing!"

"Really enjoyed this meal, definitely left full and happy. Tip: Make reservations, we made ours originally for a Fri evening 1 week in advance, and times were very limited. Ended up changing it for reasons to a Thurs evening a few days prior. Got the Spring cocktails, the spring thyme spritzer was the best of the 2, the other being the run for the roses. We also got the chargrilled oysters, half dozen, but they weren't $23 worthy. Also got the pretzel roll prime Rib, again, not worth $21 (only prime Rib in Memphis worth anything, is the French dip at Houston's side note)....both of these were starters try another starter is my suggestion. Ordered the bourbon molasses salmon. Salmon was good, the sides that come with are sweet potato casserole, definitely yummy, and green beans. Trade out the green beans...bit tough and rubbery. Dessert got the cream brulee, again very yummy and very rich we should've shared 1 as each of us getting 1 definitely put us over the top of beyond full. Atmosphere was wonderful, we sat on the enclosed patio and it was perfect, around 8 pm....very romantic and refreshing. The servers are beyond polite and professional, prob some of the best in Memphis. Overall 4 stars, prices off on a few things for quality, but otherwise excellent and definitely glad had the experience."

"The views are amazing and it’s awesome to have such beautiful views in Memphis. At the price point I would of expected a higher level of customer experience, atmosphere, and service. The timing was off for the food and drink service. We had to ask foradditional drinks instead of staff being proactive to ask. Items were brought to our table at different times just odd for this price point. The restaurant felt very much like a casual fish company at the beach vs fine dining. We also were on the patio would of loved music or something to drown out the noise of customer chatter. The patio was LOUD!!The food was good not great but fine. The lobster was overwhelmed with the sauce they used… makes me think it was frozen. Everything needed seasoning the food was all ok.In the end we had a good time and the views are awesome. At the price point I expect food, drinks and service to be better than average."

"On 10/10/23 at 1615 hours, my girlfriend and I visited for the first time for her birthday. From the hostesses that met us at the door to the young lady that seated us, to the young lady that served us, and the manager who checked on us. This was a very pleasant experience. The restaurant atmosphere, food and drinks were second to none, and we have dined in a lot of higher end restaurants in a lot of places. Thank y’all for a wonderful 42nd birthday dinner for my lady. "I was craving shawarma and decided to give this place a try. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was casual. The plates were very large but delicious, essentially providing two meals in one. The chicken shawarma was tasty and the hummus was smooth and creamy. The garlic potatoes were flavorful, although I would have preferred them to be warm instead of cold. The salad and side items completed the meal nicely. Many people were ordering catering-sized dishes, which seemed like a great option. There were other tempting menu items as well. Overall, I had a satisfying meal at Cedars and was pleasantly surprised by the variety of dishes available. Don't let the name deceive you - there's more than just shawarma on offer here."
