We always have a wonderful meal at this charming old train station. It's not an upscale place, but the food is delicious, and the prices remain quite reasonable. We make it a point to dine here every time we visit the area.

Amazing food, great service and the prices were good. The chowders were delicious. The Alfredo was very cheesey..yum. Pear salad and chicken walnut croissant sandwich was awesome. Truly a hidden gem! Quite a gem! Food was great, and service was excellent. Unassuming on the outside but the decor inside is very charming. Went with our toddlers for an early dinner, which they enjoyed. Community playground right behind the restaurant was a surprise bonus. Perfect spot for a family outing. "We were recently on vacation staying in the neighboring town of Freedom, and the house had a brochure for Sap House Meadery. I was intrigued, since I’ve never had mead, and I love most things alcoholic. We signed up for one of the Saturday tours, but unfortunately the person running the tour was unable to make it that day. The host/server/jack of all trades behind the counter was very apologetic and gave us a crash course on mead making, and gave us a few samples. Wow, such unique and interesting flavor combinations! We sat at one of the little tables, and I had two flights while my husband had some local beer. I could have bought one of everything I tried, but I managed to limit it to five bottles . We shared the Ploughman’s Lunch and an order of pickled carrots which were really interesting and flavorful. And dessert—a Honeycomb Ice Cream Sundae topped with fresh berries—was unbelievable! Definitely try some of the more funky combinations of mead—I bought the Thai Basil, Lemongrass and Kefir Lime one. Oh, and the Fig, Vanilla and Cardamom (a Swedish spice) was another one I purchased. Sooo delicious! If you’re in the Ossipee area, stop by this little gem. FYI, they’re only open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays."

"Not our first visit on Saturday 6/29. This is my inlaws favorite restaurant and they go here often each month. Saturday was a very unusually cold and rainy day for late June but the staff felt it was still best to keep the AC set at 62 degrees. (we could see the temp setting on the unit, this was not a guess) We were unfortunately sat directly across from the wall unit that blasted us with cold air the entire time. We were already cold and wet from outside and we just got colder. When we asked if they could turn the temp up a little so it wasn't as cold we were told no for the comfort of the wait staff. I'd like to tell you I enjoyed my meal but I was too cold to enjoy it. We did try and ask to move to another table but they were so busy they kept seating other tables even though we asked to be moved. A little disappointed in this. I suppose if we are brought there again I will bring a heavy jacket or blanket. I will not go there by choice. Maybe take out!"

"For vegetarian options, they have a great selection of fresh veggies for their pizzas and other menu items, including salads. Parking is convenient with a large parking lot. However, keep in mind that during the summer weekends, it can get quite busy, as this place is popular for pizza. Most people who have dined there tend to return. For families, there’s a designated area with arcade games and a pool table for kids to enjoy. As for accessibility, there is a ramp available, but the door is not automatic."

"This place is great. I have been visiting for over 30 years and it maintains its character and great food. The new owners seem passionate and attentive. They have also made some nice upgrades to the bar and restrooms. The yankee smokehouse chili with theTexas toast is the best. It looked busy upon arrival. Host said it might be a 15 minute wait, but I was seated in under 5minutes. I immediately was provided a cold beer and quickly served. It was the first time I spent under $50 for a party of 4 inawhile. Very reasonably priced!"

"Food is ok . But it's expensive especially for no delivery included . Service is terrible . There are a couple younger girls that work there that have manners and are kind . The rest anyone that's over 25 is horrible . Some stuff to expect . orders come pretty different depending who's cooking, may not be a big deal to some but I like to know I'll get good food every time when it's so expensive and not just part time. if there busy they just take the phone off the hook which is really cool . they close whenever they feel like it . they close if the kitchen is too hot from outdoor temperature which is also really cool . No other restaurants in town will close . No delivery and I was laughed at when I asked for delivery . they only take orders till half a hour before close?"
