I had an excellent experience at this restaurant! The Shrimp Chop Suey was fantastic, and it was my first time tasting it. I already have favorite spots for pizza, tacos, and sushi nearby, but I've been searching for a great Chinese restaurant. I believe I've found it today!

Good value, quick service, one (sometimes 2) tables but it is really just a take-out place. Almost always the prep is fast and delivered hot. Some items are better than others but overall it fine Chinese (with large portions) at good prices. Friendly counter staff. I give it a 5 relative to other carryouts. Yes, there is better Chinese food (at much higher prices), but for a neighborhood carryout, New Wok does not dissapoint.

We have lived in Naperville since 1981 and have seen many Asian restaurants come and go over the years. Often, a restaurant will start off well but then begin to cut back on quality as they gain more customers. This does not sit well with the people of Naperville, who value quality above all else. Our family has had to switch between five different Chinese takeout places for this reason. Our most recent place, which we have been loyal to for over 15 years, has recently started using different vegetables in their dishes, prompting us to search for a new favorite. When I used to live in the northern suburbs (Deerfield and Highland Park), I frequented several take-out "Americanized" Chinese restaurants that offered great food, excellent quality, and inexpensive prices, with generous portions. This restaurant is quite similar. Most of these places don't have dining seating (though there are a few exceptions), but this no-frills approach keeps the prices lower than dine-in establishments. However, you won't find dim sum, assorted dumplings, or extravagant specials like crispy Peking duck served mu-shu style.
