"First time at Newton’s Saddlerack and won’t be the last time. Wonderful experience with truly delectable food. The Chick Fried Strip with Jalepeno Gravy was so tender you didn’t need a knife. The portion so large we needed a to go bag. The salmon piccata was wonderfully tender with asparagus in lemon butter sauce served with linguini. The bread pudding was the finishing touch. Cowboy Chef Newton and his wife, Melanie, greeted us and wished us well on our 25th anniversary. YUM."

Pricy but wow what an excellent steak. Best I've had! Caesar salad was also great. Would love to see gluten free options.

Always a favorite when I visit Stephenville! Filet was delicious perfectly seasoned. My husband had the Chicken Fried Ribeye it was awesome- didn’t need a knife to cut! Get the carrot as a side too!

Like always the service was great and the food amazing. They were extremely busy so it took a bit longer than normal but what makes Newton’s stand out is they recognize it and interact with you to make you never feel neglected.

Newton's Saddlerack is a must try for anyone in close proximity to the metroplex! The hospitality was amazing! The food was incredible! We took our granddaughter here for her birthday. The food was excellent, as was the service. My husband and I both ordered the Chilean sea bass. It was cooked perfectly! She had the filet Oscar style and really enjoyed it. The negative thing is that this restaurant is very pricey. It’s worth the splurge for a special occasion, though.

We are very happy we tried out this new restaurant. Heard about it on the radio!! Thank you for the delicious food... and generous proportions. We had tomatoe campisis and dirty balls which were both very good. We had a delicious martini and special pasta dish. The pork chop was really good and a generous pour on the wine! We ended with carrot cake, moist and delicious and not too sweet.A special place to enjoy a nice dinner!I'm editing this review to a 5 all around!!

"Today, October 10th, I am extremely disappointed with The Big O. They changed it from a sit down and get served restaurant to a stand in line and order, get your own drink restaurant. The girl taking the orders was very rude. The line to order was long. I have always felt that this place is overpriced for what you get but I was okay with it because the food and service were good. But now, standing in a line to order, from a rude girl, and getting your own drink, the prices need to be lowered!! We got here at 11:45. We didn’t get our food until 12:50 and my order was wrong! I am not sure I will come back here next time. In my opinion, this has made this place go way downhill. So disappointed. The owner seemed to really care about his business and his customer but I guess not."

"It's unacceptable to charge customers for bad sushi that made me sick. I will never return to this place; the dining area even smelled like a nail salon. If you're looking to pay for an unpleasant experience or risk food poisoning, this is the wrong restaurant to visit. The owner clearly doesn't take their responsibilities seriously. This was the worst dining experience I've ever had—if you can't stand behind your food and service, you shouldn't be in business. I'm grateful for the food poisoning; it's a reminder to avoid this establishment in the future."

"I am not from here, currently staying in town for the weekend due to the Spartan race in Granbury. I knew I'd be hanging at the hotel all day without a vehicle and needed some food for my child and I. I ordered from here through DoorDash. When I got my order I was missing some items. I called the restaurant to let them know as well as mentioned that I'm without transportation and wouldn't be able to pick them up . The manager was so kind, he offered extra items on top of the ones I'm missing, and drove them over here and hand delivered them himself! Excellent service, amazing food! That veggie soup was so delicious! We loved everything. Thank you!!"

"The food was great, however our waiter not no much . This young lady was very rude. When it came down to taking our order I wanted the breakfast with biscuits and gravy and bacon. I wasn’t aware that I had an option to get potatoes, grits or fruit aswell. So when I replied I’ll take the biscuits and gravy. She replied POTATOES GRITS OR FRUIT! I replied to her with a confused face. She Didn’t take the time to explain, such as ok that’s fine but you also have the choice of getting these aswell. Really just threw my whole mood off. The food was delicious though!"

"A few years back, my wife and I had the pleasure of dining here, and we were thrilled to stop by again during our travels. As we approached the restaurant, the enticing aroma of smoked meats drew us in, almost like a hungry carnivore on the hunt for dinner! You walk through the area where they smoke the meats and grill the steaks, allowing you to select your preferred cuts. Once inside, you can choose your sides, and I highly recommend the okra—it's crispy and perfectly seasoned. The mac and cheese is wonderfully creamy, and the loaded potato salad, especially with the mustard base I picked, is also delightful. The corn on the cob was buttery and flavorful, and the beans were tasty as well. The brisket was tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor, while the ribs were expertly smoked and seasoned. The smoked sausage was decent but a bit dry for my liking. Overall, I would definitely recommend this BBQ joint! Although ribs aren't usually my favorite, their ribs and meats are truly outstanding."
