"I visited the Goleta location about 6 months ago and the dish I got was excellent. Came back recently and ordered the same thing. The plate came out differently with slightly different items than listed in the menu. The dish was still delicious; breaking it down to either seasonal ingredients, a run out, or a new chef. The environment is very chill and quiet, you never realize how busy they are until you step inside always full of locals. I look forward to visiting again and trying more items. Very interested to see what opens next door as the two restaurant buildings have worked closely together for years."

"I had the spicy squid. I'm a pretty white guy but I like spice, so I was expecting something with maybe some spicy Mayo or whatever, a few pieces of squid, and some rice. I had a date to go on with this new guy so I wanted something that could be a fun talking point. It was a talking point alright. Five seconds in and it's the spiciest thing I've ever eaten. My entire face burns with the intensity of crunching red-hot coals in the pits of hell. A few minutes in and my tongue goes completely numb. My lips tingle so much they're practically vibrating. My entire body is screaming for help but I dont stop eating this amazing squid. It was fresh, done to perfection, and a good ratio of meat to vegetables. Now this guy is being pretty nice about offering me water and whatnot, but I have never looked more unattractive. Snot is drizzling down my face. I'm practically crying. But it's so good I dont stop eating (plus it was kinda expensive and I didnt want to waste it). We're both laughing over this food and I'm trying to offer him some but he's vegetarian. He'll never know how spicy that was, or how good the meal tasted to make me keep eating it even though I was dying. We did not have a second date. Probably because he thinks I'm some sort of culinary masochist. I guess I kind of am."

"It is extremely rare that I write a review without actually visiting in person. My sister somehow got my hooked on this small, local sandwich chain. I had seen its various locations (Isla Vista, Santa Barbara 's Mesa and Goleta) and always wanted to check it out; yet leave it to my sister from out of town to introduce me to it. Twice she has ordered take-out sandwiches at lunch time for us. Their sandwich menu is nutso with 36 creations to choose from, including several that are vegetarian. Of course, the options are endless if you choose to build you own! I went with the #14 (a turkey BLT) and #2 (turkey and cheese) which are simply basic yet tasty. I have no idea what they do to their bread but is addicting. Slight crunch on the outside, yet soft to the squeeze and full of gummy flour flavor! All of the ingredients appear fresh and nothing special--which I appreciate when I want a deli sandwich. I love the fact that you can purchase your sandwich in a variety of sizes including a mini for if you need a snack to hold you over and not a full meal. I also think of children, those who are on a lower carb diet, who have had bariatric surgery, or are limiting portion sizes. I personally go for a small sandwich. However, if you want to go all out, choose the medium or family size. Even better, if you 're hosting a party, order a three to ten foot long sandwich (requires a day 's notice). I will be back to check out the actual place--third time 's a charm they say. I 've heard both their chicken salad and tuna salad are both delicious. That 's next up! P/S: According to Yelpers, they do not accept the Check-In Offer for a free soda with a sandwich purchase. They should really remove this from their Yelp page... Note: Only the Milpas location offers chicken sandwiches, burgers, french fries and chicken nuggets. Note squared: They charge more for credit card payments. Note cubed: If you want free entertainment, check out their Milpas website menus with adorable, phonetically spelled items. (gient vs giant, meetball vs meatball, and phylly vs philly)."

"Food: Mountain climber is good. It has a slight kick. The brioche bun is very soft. All the ingredients seem to mix well with the burger. Their tomato soup is delicious. I would go here for just the soup alone. Their fries are good. Not the best fries I had ever had. The cookies are hard. If you are into hard cookies. I prefer soft cookies. The ice tea was refreshing and the lemonade was super sour to me. Service: The service is quick. They get your food quick, however they forgot my drink twice. This is where they need to work on. Ruben, the second cashier had rectify the drink problem for us by offering cookies for our troubles. The first cashier had offer us food recommendation. The bust guy had excellent service. He got me a to go box. Seating: There are booths and tables indoor. The outdoor has plenty of space. Indoor was not available during COVID. Amenities: There is restroom available and parking is plentiful and free. The restroom is exceptionally clean. There is free wifi. Music plays indoor only."
