"We tried to have a nice night out on our weekend trip in Bend, as we've had good experiences at other Pastinis. Unfortunately, this dinner was awful. We were told 25 minutes for seating (expected for a busy Friday night) but it took over 50 minutes. Each time we went to the host desk to check on our status, it took several minutes to get anyone's attention. Numerous staff walked by and ignored us and other waiting customers. We were even told we couldn't get a drink from the bar until after we were seated. What's the point of the bar? When we finally got a table, it took almost 15 minutes just to place our drink order. We kept watching so many staff around, yet no one seemed available to help us. The waitress barely checked in on us. Our food took well over an hour after ordering, which might be expected at a fine dining establishment, but not here. And the quality of the food wasn't even worth it. We asked our waitress about the delay, and she seemed utterly clueless, as if it was her first day. She mentioned that the manager was too busy to talk to us but offered us free food and drinks if we didn't want to keep waiting. We were hungry, had already waited this long, and just wanted to know what was happening with our food. It was a bizarre offer and odd that the manager was unavailable and preferred to give away free food rather than fix the problem at hand. We watched other tables around us, and they seemed to be waiting just as long. We chatted with another couple, and they said it took 45 minutes just to get their starter salad and were also upset. I suppose we were all in this together. They aren't even making the pasta fresh, so why would it take so long? When our food finally came, the presentation looked messy, as if a big scoop was taken out of a shared pot and slopped onto the plate. Plates and forks weren't clean. Everyone's entrees were different sizes, with some skimpier portions. There was barely any cheese, and the drinks were very watered down with hardly any taste of alcohol. This restaurant has such a beautiful spot on the river, but it is a disaster here and we definitely won't return. It felt like no one was running the place, the waitress was nice but not helpful or attentive. Also, do you really think free dessert is going to fix every problem when you have to wait another 20 minutes for it? No thanks."

It was my first time dining here, and the food was incredible. We were in town for a concert and got to enjoy the band's sound check while we ate!

The restaurant is quite expensive, and we had to wait even just before closing time. If you want bread, you need to request it. It was also very loud inside. On a positive note, the waitstaff were very friendly.

Experience doesn’t match the price. Dined in on 7/27 at 6:00pm. Restaurant at less than half capacity. During drink order we ordered our main courses due to the kids being overly hungry. Drinks were delivered and house bread. We weren’t checked on for 60 minutes after. Our food took 75 minutes after ordering. Appearance, taste and aromas were great, but it was cold. We still ate some of the warm stuff in the center. Rating 2 stars due to the inattentive service, long delays in receiving meals (we weren’t having wine and apps), and absolutely no explanation. Update: The manager reached out and offered to help with issuing a refund, as well as send us a free entreé coupon. Much happier with the customer service received and will be giving Pastini’s another chance. Placed an order online and had my husband pick it up. When he got there, he was told the order wasn’t ready, waited 30+ minutes, asked if it was almost ready, and was told it was still being worked on. He requested a refund from the female manager who told him he’d have to request a refund online instead. No apologies were made and no attempt to make it right or offer compensation. We went to Pastinis during lunch on a weekday. Service was dismal. We waited probably 10 min for waitstaff to bring menus after we had been seated. Waitress was curt and unwelcoming. The free bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar was incredibly disappointing. The bread wasnt anything special (cold and rustic) but the olive oil and balsamic were dreadful. The balsamic vinegar tasted like the low cost balsamic vinegar at a chain grocery store. All that being said, my entree was absolutely delicious. The Sicilian Spaghetti was flavorful and a delight.
