"I disagree with all those glowing reviews of Piccola Cuccina. I mean, who wouldn’t love yet another utterly average NYC “Italian” spot on the fringes of SOHO? It’s just screaming to be relocated to Little Italy, where it can blend in perfectly with the other “authentic” places that think throwing pasta on the menu is enough to pass as Italian. Sicilian cuisine? Oh, please. It 's just a buzzword here, nothing more. As for the quality—well, let’s just say the chef’s take on Sicilian-Italian cooking is… unique. Ingredients? Presentation? Let 's not even go there. And when it comes to beverages, you 'll be thrilled with the wine selection—because beer drinkers get the luxury of choosing from exactly one option. So, if you’re looking for a genuine Sicilian experience, Piccola Cuccina is definitely the place... not to go."

It was ok pricey for the quality of food. The stuffed calamari was fishy tasting and bland. Pasta was thrown together and presented poorly for the price and lacked flavor. Tiramisu was the best part of the meal and they neglected to bring me my espresso. Service was just ok. So many italian food options in that immediate area to try out wasnt wowed.

Excellent small neighborhood type experience. The food was outstanding and a reasonable value and the wine prices were as well. We enjoyed a lovely salad to share plus a couple of pastas and too much vino! I will be back. In the summer most of the dining is on the street som keep that in mind. It was very hot and humid last night but obviously not anything the restaurant can control.

"We went to Bread N Wine on a early Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were greeted and seated by the servers who were attentive. The food was okay the bread was really soft and fresh. My partner got the French Lentil Soup, Spinach and Tomato Egg Bake andI got the French onion soup, egg omelette with spicy tomato avocado and onions. I wasn 't happy with my omelette because thespicy just meant it was covered in hot sauce within. For beverages, we got chai lattes (we later found out it wasn 't tea basedbut rather coffee) and we had the option of oat milk, almond milk or regular milk. In terms of our overall experience we feltby the end too many things were steering the experience south; the worst was when we were accused of using counterfeit money topay for the tip. There was no special marker used to prove that the money was counterfeit or technology to back up this claim. That experience alone left a bad taste in our mouth as we left embarrassed by that claim, kind of shook from that, we stilladded the tip to our credit card 18%. As we walked out and talked about how weird that was, the owner of the business nextdoor overheard us and asked to see the $20 bill he showed us that our money was real and validated what we knew, that themoney wasn 't counterfeit. When we went back into Bread N Wine to discuss this there was no apology, just well, it felt thatway , shrug. It left a terrible feeling. We would not go back after that, this is not how you treat customers from start tofinish, hence the 2 star review."
