I'm a big fan of a delicious hamburger and constantly on the lookout for the ideal one. However, spending more than $20 in Maynard feels a bit excessive.

The food and service were both excellent, but the side dishes felt a bit overpriced for their size; they seemed more suited to a food truck than a fine dining establishment.

The best homemade chicken fingers and chicken sandwiches in the area—you definitely need to give them a try! The bar staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, especially on Monday nights.

I've tried this place a few times and have been disappointed by the lack of service. The burger was mediocre. Once again: horrible, service, prices, and food. Four servers/bartenders, mostly standing around chit-chatting with each other. Ordered a Sam Adams Oktoberfest, and was told they ran out of it yesterday. Ordered buffalo chicken wings. Waited 25 minutes! before someone cam out and said they didn't have any. Got up and left.

I had my first dining experience at The Pleasant Cafe's newest location in Ayer, MA, and it was fantastic! The staff, including Frank, Max, and Sara, were incredibly friendly and attentive. I tried the Bourbon chicken sandwich and the Little Mack burger, both of which were delicious. To top off our meal, we indulged in the chocolate mousse dessert, and it was absolutely delightful.

Oh yeah, Maynard . And oh yes, The Pleasant Cafe . Local area folk have gotten used to the question where is Maynard , while all know every town around (Concord, Acton, Sudbury, Stow, etc). But one of the timeless gems in little Maynard is the Pleasant Café. Owned and in the same family For decades, it 's the place to grab a beer on tap, watch the game on a plethora of TVs, it 's right in the midst of downtown Maynard (walk around, walk the area), has outdoor seating and the food! Now, do I wish sometimes that old pleasant cafe returned and donned the 5 dollar Tuesday cheeseburger with the 3 dollar PBR, YES!
