"This was a VERY disappointing experience for my husband and I. The SH web site says they have two eating venues, one indoors and one outdoors. I made the Open Table Reservation for and then called the hotel/restaurant to confirm that they were open (because it was the fourth of July). The woman who answered the office telephone said, yes, they were open and my reservation would be fine When we got to the venue, there was a park-like setting in front of the hotel (VERY POORLY marked) and there was a band playing rock music, several people playing a lawn game, an active outdoor open air bar and a group of tables towards the river, which I am assuming was the hotel "restaurant" We knew we wanted to eat in the Tavern indoors, so left this venue to find that the Stewart Hotel was LOCKED. A very nice woman was about to enter the hotel and asked if she could help us. She said the restaurant indoors was closed because it was "seasonal" and that they served food outside only. The park location was not the cozy, historical ambiance we were seeking We drove almost an hour to this venue because of their very attractive restaurant description on their web site. So, beware potential diners...make sure to find out where u will be seated. Definitely not a pleasant outdoor dinner dining experience. No one wants a nice meal while a band is blasting Beatles favorites and people are playing games in what looked like a public park This is the first negative review I have ever shared on Open Table"

"Vico is one of our favorite restaurants for a great night out or a special occasion, like my husband's birthday. Comfort food classics like chicken or eggplant parmesan never disappoint, and the entire staff go out of their way to make us feel welcome and cared for. The outdoor seating is a lovely bonus."

"This was my first visit to the location in Hudson, New York. I had a large vegan soup that resembled a lentil minestrone, which I appreciated knowing was always vegan. I loved the whole spelt crust and the toppings on my vegetarian dish. It’s worth mentioning that for this pizza, you should specify that you want it to be vegan, as the restaurant might add chèvre (goat cheese) otherwise. Thankfully, I learned from a helpful server that any pizza can be made vegan upon request. I ended up finishing about three-quarters of my slice. I found that the Daiya vegan cheese wasn't really necessary for the pizza to taste great! I also enjoyed the experience of seeing the pizza being sliced and then picking up a slice to eat carefully with my hands. This is an updated review from August 8, 2021."

"I hope management sees this review and fixes their online system, or have a conversation with their hostess about how to speak with potential customers. My friends and I arrived at this restaurant at 5:30 pm hoping to walk in for dinner. The hostess informed us they were fully booked and couldn’t let us eat without a reservation. We noticed there were empty tables and, out of curiosity, we checked Google and found that reservations were available at 6pm, thinking maybe someone cancelled. We made the reservation for 4 at 6 pm and returned. When we arrived, we showed the hostess our reservation, and she told us that they “didn’t have internet” (with an iPad in her hands) and that we still couldn’t eat there. I suggested to her that she inform management they should probably fix their online reservation system so people don’t make the same mistake and while leaving she called us “stupid for not trusting the human.” We were really excited to eat here and are very disappointed by the hostility of the hostess."

"I ordered take-out while visiting my family, who recommended this restaurant based on their previous experiences. I hadn't been there in a while, but they assured me it was a reliable choice. The food was hot and ready when I arrived at the designated time. However, when I got back to my sister's place and opened the boxes, the food didn't smell or look very fresh. My sister immediately noticed a decline in quality, saying, "Oh, this is different from what we usually get. The dumplings are not the same." The Rangoon was mostly cream cheese and had an unpleasant odor, almost like stale fryer oil. I decided to reach out for a refund via email, but I still haven't received a response. At this point, we won’t be ordering from here again anytime soon."
