"I went with a group for a birthday. It was the worst service any of us had ever experienced. Our waiter only took a couple of drink orders and then left for more than 20 minutes before we checked in to take the rest of the table order. For the food we had to tell him that we had to order. Then he took 4 orders, went away and didn't come back. When we got him to come back after telling several other workers we needed to complete the order, he forgot that he had taken the first orders. He finally took a few more orders and went, again not to every person at the table. It took 2 hours in total and the food came out at all different times. We were all honestly very confused about what was happening throughout our dinner."

"Nice, cozy room with a small but well-designed selection of beers. The food is also very good; The starters may seem a little expensive for a gastropub, but for gourmets they are comparable in complexity and taste to dishes in the rich table, a rare find in the outer mission / Bernal. If you are looking for tasty snacks, great cocktails, and beer in the neighborhood, I highly recommend this hotel."

"The service was very good, appetizers were delicious, my entree was the worst I’ve ever tasted at a place you expect to be nice. We had a party of 12, reserved in advance so the tables were set up in the side room when we arrived. The reason the service was only very good and not great is it took the server asking what we wanted for drinks before they realized only 2 people in the group had been given any menus. And I never got a menu in the end though I could have asked. We got a good sampling of appetizers, all were delicious and the calamari was the best; very flavorful and cooked nicely. I got the scallops for my entree. It had almost no flavor except maybe burnt. Despite that it tasted burnt earlier, cooled, and reheated in a microwave, the texture still was okay. It sat on what I’d describe as the cheap cut vegetables from the frozen section of the grocery store (that bag of peas, carrots, and corn) also with no flavor. I wish there had been some music in the room. I’m sure that could have been accommodated if we asked as they were able to adjust the room temperature when we asked. I’ve never been here before this visit. They strike me as wanting to create an upscale experience but falling short."

"I absolutely loved this restaurant! The traditional French decor and cozy fireplace (we were lucky to sit right next to it) combined with the excellent service made us feel like we were transported to France. The authentic popovers were incredible - so flaky on the inside! Eating them gracefully was nearly impossible, but it made for a fun dining experience. We decided to try the house smoked salmon as our appetizer, as it's not often seen on menus. We will definitely be ordering it again in the future. The beef Wellington was beautifully prepared, tender, and delicious. The Bouillabaise was another standout dish, not commonly found on menus. It was hearty and flavorful, with a generous serving of seafood including jumbo prawns, mussels, and a variety of fish in a delicious broth. The desserts did not disappoint either. The pumpkin cheesecake with caramel glaze and walnuts was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend trying it during the season. We will certainly be returning, with plans to come back in December to try the holiday menu."

"I picked this place cause of the better reviews it had over another local restaurant. I ordered take out and the customer service over the phone was super prompt and friendly! I ordered their vegetarian orange chicken, but I’m highly disappointed. I’m giving 2 stars to be generous. This was the absolute most flavorless thing I’ve ever eaten, especially in the Asian cuisine. The sauce was watery and had no orange flavor at all. Which is crazy cause it looked like it had so much flavor to it. I had to drown the food in soy sauce to actually have flavor. Otherwise the texture of the fake chicken was good compared to most places and TONS of broccoli in the bowl too which most places don’t give that much. But I’m extremely disappointed it had no flavor. $20 wasted… Vegetarian options: Would not recommend this place unless you want flavorless entrees!Otherwise they have tons of vegetarian options but you might be better off trying the other place down the street."
