"I'm giving Provino's a solid 5 stars. While it offers a quality similar to some higher-end restaurants downtown, the prices are much more reasonable. It's a charming red sauce Italian spot located on the side of Shorter Ave. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the food is consistently delicious. You'll always enjoy the complimentary garlic yeast rolls, served fresh from the oven. The hand-tossed salad that accompanies any entrée is also quite tasty. The house wines are affordable and surprisingly good. Plus, the decor is quite pleasant. If you're choosing between this place and a chain like Olive Garden, I would choose Provino's every single time."

I'm not a fan of the rolls filled with garlic and oil. Overall, I don't really enjoy their food! It's also quite expensive.

Our server was friendly, and even though she was training someone, it didn't affect her performance at all. However, the food could use a little more seasoning. On the bright side, the salad and garlic bread were excellent!

This restaurant provides an extensive selection of vegan dishes. I tried the Penne Pasta Primavera, which came with zucchini, mushrooms, tomatoes, sautéed broccoli, and marinara sauce. It was truly delicious. The rolls were served with margarine and garlic, which enhanced the flavor wonderfully. The salad included chickpeas and a vegan vinegar dressing.

We enjoyed both our wine and appetizers, and we were pleased to find the staff friendly, even during the hectic evening. I ordered the Penne Pasta Primavera, which was wonderfully prepared with sautéed zucchini, mushrooms, tomatoes, and broccoli in a rich marinara sauce. It was packed with flavor. Our waitress was excellent and very attentive. The salad and dressing were enjoyable, and the yeast rolls generously covered in garlic butter were a real treat. However, the food itself was just average. The eggplant parmesan was fried in standard vegetable oil, giving it a deep-fried taste similar to the funnel cakes you’d find at a state fair. The sauce was decent but overly salty. The prices were in line with what you would expect at Italian restaurants.

The menu features light options for both lunch and dinner, along with steak dishes for dinner. If you're planning to visit on the weekend, be sure to make a reservation, as it can get quite busy due to its small size. We managed to snag a great spot at the bar, where we enjoyed the wine of the day, artichoke dip, and a Mediterranean flatbread. We need more places like this to help revive the old town area! There are always events happening on weekends, so be sure to check their calendar!
