"Since 2011, my friends I have always had positive experiences (food service) at this bar grill UNTIL Friday night 10/6/23 between 5-6:30pm. As an aside, the restaurant had open tables and I did not see a wait. A GEN Z waitress was training a GEN X waitress at our table. My friend I are late stage baby boomers. The GEN X waitress did great on her own and was only hampered by the GEN Z waitress 's LACK OF professionalism. My friend and I both ordered the pasta and fish specials for the day which were both delicious. That 's where the positives for the meal end. The GEN Z waitress asked my friend, Can I take your plate or would you like to lick it clean? My friend 's response, Aren 't you fresh! I was stunned, as I was still eating my meal and had a glass of wine to finish. At this point, I was asked if I wanted a box- I said no, I 'm still eating. My friend ordered a cup of decaf coffee which was burnt. A box was delivered to our table for my remaining meal. We were asked if we wanted dessert, coffee ?....at which point my friend mentioned the decaf coffee issue. GEN Z waitress response, it was made about 15 minutes ago and offered another cup. My friend said no AND I responded to Gen Z waitress question, with a NO- just the check. We would have entertained another drink, dessert and coffee but it was obvious the Gen Z waitress wanted the table to turn over. Why? We left-EACH spending $36 including a 20% tip for hopefully ONLY the GEN X waitress! We complimented the GEN X waitress as we left. NOT in a hurry to return..... "We had dinner outside last night. We had 6 in our party. In the past we have had very good food and service but that was not the case last evening. The server had a bubbly personality but it did not cover up the fact that the service was poor. We ordered some appetizers which included clam chowder for a couple of us. I specifically asked that my chowder be brought out as my MEAL but that did not happen. We waited approximately 25 minutes for any food to come to the table and the restaurant was not busy. The delivery of the food was out of order. The appetizer was served right before the entrees. The two steak tip dinners were overcooked and reminiscent of shoe leather. When we made mention of this (we ordered medium) they said that the dishes might have been sitting under the warmer a bit too long! Two new steak tip dinners were brought out with one being cooked as ordered and the other still overcooked. As for the clam chowder, both parties who ordered it agreed it was full of potatoes with very few clams. My son enjoyed his fish and chips although a few pieces were overdone. My mother 's mac and cheese was bland. Again, we have always enjoyed this restaurant in the past. We usually dine at the bar but even when we did previously the manager came out to apologize for the long wait for food as they were short staffed . Overpriced food for the quality offered. "After a shaky start where they didn't seem to have a plan to seat our party of six even though we had a reservation and arrived on time, we went on to have a very nice dinner with excellent service from the hardworking wait staff. Everyone enjoyed their meals food fresh and tasty. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner"

"Due to COVID, traveling and visiting restaurants have been something hard to come by. This is a rare gem of a space with plenty off outdoor space and vaccinated worker and employer. I am glad to find this place out of a random search for burger. We end up getting Texas bbq instead which is much better Our hiking spot is about 5 minutes drive from this place and it was easy to find off the route. Just be careful coming down the road because sherif is parked nearby for speeders. So don't drive too fast for you hungry folks. We came on a Sunday afternoon and there are 75% empty benches outdoor. Parking is not an issue except for those having decision problem because there are so many. To the food!! We got two combo due to decision issue and fries and potato salad. Combo has a mix of short rib, sausages and brisket. Portion is a small but great for the waist line right!!! Brisket is a little dry but it's decent enough. Right is top of the line. This place can sold out of stuff so be patient. We walk away pretty full after this order. Price is reasonable. I love the wood bench and paper towel. Sorry we ate all the food too fast to take some pictures."

"At one point, a customer asked for a refund because of the long wait. After that customer left, the employee started shouting about him and proceeded to curse loudly as he walked to the back. Later on, he noticed water leaking behind the serving counter and continued to complain loudly, exclaiming, “They don’t pay me enough,” while tossing towels onto the wet floor and watching other employees clean up. I had my family with me, including my young son, and it was an extremely uncomfortable experience. When my food was finally ready and bagged, I suggested to him that he should refrain from complaining in front of customers, especially considering how the ringing phones were being ignored by placing them in a drawer. We were the last ones in the restaurant and the last car to leave the now-empty parking lot. Overall, it was a quite miserable experience."
