I typically enjoy this restaurant, but my experience today was disappointing. I had one of the worst softshell crabs I've ever tasted; it wasn't fully fried and the flavor was terrible. To make matters worse, it cost $22.50 for a child's portion. I should have opted for the roast beef po'boy, which is the best in town. Food rating: 1/5.

Used to be my 2nd fav poboy. Got the half n half: half shrimp half oyster. Charged full marked for the oyster. Oysters where too hard and crunchy. Probably the closing time oysters and reheated. Worst part of the poboy.And with each first bite of the pizza the cheese fell off. Also asked for thin crust got thick. And waitress didn’t get the drinks till she saw me looking around for them and I was getting up to get them myself.Unfortunately they just lost a customer.

Whenever we're in the area we always stop by and get the best roast beef poboy on Earth!It's a very casual place with a super friendly staff who all do a fantastic job. We drive from Baton Rouge just to eat that wonderful roast beef poboy. But they have amazing seafood, pizza, and a ton of other stuff we haven't had a chance to try (yet! .Parking: There is a limited strip of parking directly in front of the restaurant, but plenty right behind. The atmosphere here feels like a warm family gathering. Even during a packed lunch rush, our experience was delightful. Our waitress was incredibly sweet, and our drinks were always filled. Despite being located at the corner of two busy roads, the restaurant maintains a high level of cleanliness. If you're planning to visit with a large group, I recommend calling ahead to ensure they have a table ready for you, as it can get quite busy. I absolutely love R and O's and will definitely return the next time I'm in town!

The cheese fries with gravy were fantastic and had a generous amount of roast beef! The fries were extra crispy and held up well under the gravy. My husband ordered the R&O special po'boy, which he thoroughly enjoyed—it featured roast beef in gravy with ham. I opted for the ham and mozzarella po'boy, which was good, and we also shared a meatball and Italian sausage po'boy loaded with gravy and mozzarella. The gravy was excellent, and the meatball was very flavorful; however, the Italian sausage was a bit too strong for my taste, so I ended up removing it. Wow, why does this place only get 3.5 stars. I visited here for the first time on 05/12/2023 at about 12noon with a party of seven. This place gets busy, at least at lunch. When we arrived at noon, it was already full. This is my first time here. I work for a company located nearby; however, only come into town once and a while. First of all, our server was out of this world. I truly wish I remembered her name. She kept so calm in all of the chaos of the restaurant; however, still managed to be super friendly and fulfill every request super quickly.I shared some onion rings with two other tablemates and they were fantastic.
