"Ray's Shrimp is one of the few places my family looks forward to visiting when we're back in the area. It feels like they didn't want to restock as they were nearing closing time. Another customer mentioned that this has happened to them before, so it seems to be a common issue. Honestly, I’m not concerned about the staff wanting to get off work sooner; what matters is maintaining consistent quality and service, regardless of the time of day. I’m really upset and am struggling to give this a 3-star review, especially since this was my first experience at this location, and it was a letdown. I want to be lenient and remember all the great family memories we’ve had there over the past 20+ years, but this one visit has really tarnished those memories. If you're planning to go there for shrimp or anything else, I recommend calling ahead to check their availability. It’s a shame that if you're visiting from out of town, you might end up leaving disappointed instead of enjoying the meal you were looking forward to."

It must be a gary thing cause who would think to put DEEP FRIED shrimp in a Chinese box? This was the soggiest Fried shrimp I have had.. No crunch.. and yall fries were sooooo under cooked.. I gave yall a second try and yall failed..Food: 1/5

I think I heard that Ray's was under new management. The shrimp was chef's kiss delicious as always. And the nice lady who worked in there was better than average. She was friendly and kind, it was very refreshing compared to interactions I've had when I've traveled home and visited in the past.Food: 5/5
