"We were happy to have found this place in the vegan desert of Bar Harbor (and the Maine coast in general). The vegan soup was delicious. The black bean burger wrap was OK; we suspect that the assuredly non-vegan aioli we omitted would have punched up the flavor some. The black bean burger sandwich comes with bacon and cheddar cheese so we skipped it. The hummus platter looked good; that plus the soup may have been the winning combo."

"Fantastic Food and Service! We had dinner at Havana and were thoroughly impressed with our experience. My wife enjoyed the seafood paella, while I opted for the pork chop dish. Another guest had the shrimp appetizer and salad, and one ordered the duck. Each dish was beautifully prepared with fresh, local ingredients and packed with flavor. The seafood paella was among the best I've ever tasted, and the pork chop came with a delicious broth-based sauce, turnip greens, chickpeas, and local vegetables. The highlight of our evening was our server, Harley. His positive attitude and keen attention to detail made our dining experience exceptional. From the warm welcome upon arrival to the attentive service throughout our meal, we felt feeling appreciated and full! I highly recommend Havana! Enjoy your visit—you won't be disappointed!"

"I almost always rely entirely on Yelp when making dining decisions. Our breakfast experience at Cafe This Way is an excellent example of why I have come to depend on fellow Yelpers... Our Bar Harbor lodgings offered a decent, if typical, free American hotel breakfast buffet. It was fine. But after a few days of it, we decided we wanted to try something different. Yelp to the rescue. Based on our search criteria, 4.5-star Cafe This Way topped the list, and off we went. As frequently reported by those who preceded us, this off-the-beaten-path, eclectic breakfast spot was well worth the trip down the alley off Mt. Desert St. I ordered the housemade Corned Beef Hash with Poached Eggs (drizzled with Hollandaise Sauce), and she ordered the Veggie Eggwhite Omelette with Cheddar. Both came with homemade sourdough toast, and we knew from reading the reviews to ask for the homemade strawberry jam. We both loved our breakfasts! So much so that we would have been back again the following day if not for our plan to be up in time for the Bar Harbor sunrise (and the need for food and coffee well before Cafe This Way's opening hour). Bonus: The decoratively displayed used books led to my partner's discovery of a new author she has since started reading. When we are next in Bar Harbor, Cafe This Way will be at the top of our breakfast dining list."

"I was recently in Bar Harbor for 3 days, and we opted to go to The Stadium for breakfast 2 of those days. The coffee drinks were great and the workers were all friendly. We ordered breakfast sandwiches both times and both times they were either put on the wrong bread or were completely missing bacon, even though the order sticker on the sandwich had the right ingredients. Both times, we took them to-go so we weren’t able to go back to have them corrected. It was a bit frustrating since it happened 2 days in a row, but the sandwiches were still great."

"Staff was very nice and the amount of outdoor seating availability is great. I?m happy that they have a vegan option for breakfast but was a little underwhelmed with my food experience. Two of us went for breakfast and ordered the same thing, ?The Vegan?. The food came out remarkably fast, like less than ten minutes. We ordered the same thing but the portion sizes were very different by like 30%, the food on one plate was nearly too hot to eat while the other was just warm, both were on the soggy side. The flavor was good. I?ve been to Cafe This Way before and had many wonderful experiences, and will return again. This was my first less than wonderful experience and first time for breakfast. I?ll try it again and hope to have a better experience."
