"The meal began with a side salad that appeared to be pre-made. The lettuce was squished flat against the plate from being wrapped in plastic and stacked with other salads, most likely prepared the day before. It was shredded, accompanied by limp cucumber slices and tiny cherry tomatoes that looked less than fresh.
Next, I received the prime rib dinner. I had chosen mashed potatoes and green beans as my sides, along with a roll. The green beans tasted as if they were taken directly from a frozen bag—there weren’t many, they lacked seasoning, and showed no effort in preparation. The mashed potatoes came in a small scoop, completely smothered in brown gravy, to the point that they were unrecognizable, and again, the portion was quite small. The roll was just a packaged one, quickly microwaved along with everything else.
As for the prime rib, it was underwhelming and smaller than anticipated. After finishing my meal, I still felt hungry due to the scant portions. The restaurant's atmosphere was dimly lit and mostly populated by older patrons. It felt more like a neglected retirement home than a proper dining venue! It seems that they primarily cater to the elderly and, in doing so, may have lost sight of what it means to be a true restaurant. The presentation, flavor, and overall quality of the food were very disappointing, clearly not crafted by a chef but rather frozen and reheated.
I left feeling deflated by the experience, as the food was bland and uninviting. It seems they may not generate enough revenue to serve fresh, chef-prepared meals, leading me to wonder if someone in the kitchen, probably wearing a bandana and smelling of cigarettes, is simply assembling reheated dishes. And whatever you do, avoid the fish fry as it’s frozen too. However, it appears the older crowd enjoys it."
