"rio is in new buffalo! this was formerly a family-friendly Mexican restaurant. now the owner has changed due to avarice and greed the menu and made it very expensive for a family. the order is easy. it's impossible now. the quality of food is inferior. no telephone calls are accepted. only online orders are made and must be paid by credit card on a very unused website that probably has no significant security. I never take my family there. exorbitantly expensive and eating is of medium quality compared to what it was originally. I'm a loyal customer since rios opened his doors. Two of us spent $17 and ended up throwing away the terrible food. The lettuce and refried beans were absolutely awful, and the service was far from vegan-friendly.

The restaurant offers a vegetarian filling option on their menu, but to our disappointment, when we tried to order it, we were told that it only contained rice and beans. The staff was unsure if the beans were vegan, so we decided to leave and dine elsewhere.

the online ordering is so simple! we typically order 1 flour taco with chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, and rice. and a steak burrito with rice and cheese. 2 horchatas (huge which i love) and 2 extra cups of rice. also to mention the burritos are HUGE as well. LOL. will definitely fill you up. but however the food takes less than ten minutes! and best horchata i’ve ever had! one of my favorite places to stop in new buffalo. definitely stop by if you’re in the area!
