"While working a long day out of town, I happen to stumble upon this small hometown bbq joint and couldn’t pass it up without a try. The prices were very reasonable. (perhaps even below average) I ordered the large pork sandwich with fries sweet tea. The wait was about ten minutes as all fried food is made to order. (I can respect that) I was very impressed with the serving size! The sandwich was huge and fries spilled off the plate. I ordered my sandwich all the way with pickles slaw. When it comes to bbq, I would consider myself quite the critic. This was hands down the best bbq sandwich that I have had in a very long time!!! They have a house mustard sauce which I absolutely loved. Mustard sauce is kinda rare in our area and these folks have perfected it! If I had to criticize one thing it would be the cheap frozen crinkle fries. When you’re turning out meat as good as they are, it should be complemented by a fresh cut steakhouse fry. I will make it a point to stop by every time I’m in the area."

The staff is incredibly friendly, and the food is outstanding. My favorite dish is the pulled pork, but the chicken and ribs are also delightful.

There's a great selection of delicious food. The ribs are tasty, but my favorite dish is the roasted raw fish with the house sauce. It's fantastic!

This is a fantastic restaurant! We ordered a rib platter, pulled pork, and a fish sandwich, and everything was outstanding. I highly recommend stopping by if you're in town or just passing through.

I highly recommend the ribs, pulled pork, and brisket. They are flavorful enough on their own that you won’t need any sauce, but definitely try the sauces they offer. The staff is incredibly friendly, regardless of how busy they are. We always have a great time when we visit!

If you're traveling through the area, make sure to check out Sam's based on a local recommendation—I’m so glad I did! Normally, I’m not a fan of smoked BBQ because it can often be too smoky or tough if overcooked. But Sam proved me wrong; this was the best smoked BBQ I've ever had. I ordered the ribs and wings combo with two sides, and I was completely satisfied. Although I usually prefer back ribs, these were by far the best I've experienced—tender and juicy, even the pieces that looked a bit tough were actually flavorful and soft.
