"Bobby was such a wonderful server/cashier! So helpful and kind, and a wonderful person to chat with. Loved my shrimp so much I took it home, the catfish was beyond tasty, the red beans and rice was superb, the hush puppies were fantastic, and the potato salad was delicious. Thanks to all of the reviews, we decided to try Sam's, and it was so good! Red beans and rice, fish, and shrimps were great. The potato salad was just ok. Will go again when we're in the area. Tonight was our first experience at Sam’s and we loved it. It’s definitely a don’t judge a book by its cover kind of place. My husband got the double southern burger and I got the shrimp po boy and both were cooked well and tasted great. The veggies were fresh. The fries were seasoned well. The man serving us was kind and fast. We’ll be back.

Seems they have changed recipes since my last visit. Not in a good way. Ordered fried green tomatoes for an appetizer. They were a soggy, greasy mess and not green but red. The catfish was very crunch no flavor except freezer taste. The service was very good. Unfortunately I am now looking for a new seafood place. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20
