Cool place to stop. They have all kinds of trinkets and snacks etc. the kolaches are fabulous! We've tried several kinds and they're all fresh and yummy. I'd definitely recommend a stop here. It's not 24hr like the Czech stop though.

The restrooms are very clean, and there are plenty of options for drinks, snacks, and shopping—it's essentially a mini version of a Buc-ee's. The bakery and deli are outstanding. For takeout, the experience was excellent, with a price range of $1 to $10 per person. I rated the service and atmosphere both 5 out of 5.

I love the concept, and was looking forward to the kolache's, but the line was ridiculously long, and I anoticed regular gas was 40 cents a gallon cheaper next door at the 7 11. If I remember correctly, that's how the Czech Stop on the other side of I35 lost so much business to Slovacek's! The lines have been there every time I visited over the years, so it's not just the Covid labor situation, although I'm sure it contributes...

We stopped here on our way home and decided to explore the meat section, where we encountered an exceptional salesman. He offered us samples to taste, and his advice was top-notch. The service we received was excellent in every respect. The store was impressively clean and well-organized. If we lived any closer, it might get pricey for us! Undoubtedly the best kolaches around! They also have incredible breads and pastries. The store features fresh and frozen food sections, as well as a variety of snacks, clothing, purses, and bags. You'll find some of the finest wind chimes along with garden and home decorations. Plus, there's a year-round Christmas shop at the same location. If you haven’t visited yet, you definitely should. It’s located 65 miles southwest on Interstate 35W. While it’s not Buc-ee's, it was absolutely worth the time and money.

Been driving by this place every time I drive from Austin to Ft Worth and back. Saw this place on the Texas Bucket List and Shane has never let me down! Just had my first experience here and had my first Texas kolache as well! Damn, I didn’t know what I was missing! Since I have nothing to compare to, I’ll just say it was simply Amazing!!! Fun place with a bakery and meat shop and the customer service was second to none. Will be my new go to when doing my drives back and forth. I highly recommend this place. Come out and support your local businesses and avoid chains!

This gas station bakery has a little bit of everything. It's kind of like a Buc ees but it's not THAT great. It's across the hwy from the Czech Stop Shell station that has been at exit 353 for longer than I can remember. I almost felt like a traitor stopping at this location bc I have faithfully stopped at Czech Stop for about 15 years but we were heading south we thought we'd check this place out. It has a lot of random things to look at if you want to shop. Tons of college themed gifts, pjs, shirts, socks, etc. my niece likes the slushes. They only have two flavors but she loved hers.
