"When the bill arrived, it was incorrect as well; it included not only the extra meal but also two other main dishes. We had to send the check back not once, but three times (even the second time, it was still wrong). The third attempt was particularly frustrating: they had comped the incorrect meal, but the mandatory 20% gratuity was calculated on the total before the adjustment! I understand that not everyone is good with numbers, but I know how to add. I find it hard to believe that this was not a deliberate oversight by the manager. The apologies we received felt forced and insincere. I've dined here several times with large groups, but after this experience, I won't be returning. I understand that mistakes happen, but I don't appreciate being misled."

"My wife and I ate dinner tonight, July 17, 2023 at Aztecas Family Mexican Restaurant. We are in Grand Junction for one night and staying at the KOA campground 8 miles from this restaurant. After dinner we both agreed it was well worth the 8 mile drive from the RV park. There were 3 Mexican restaurants I was looking at in this area, and Aztecas had the best reviews. I had the #21, 2 shredded beef tacos and a cheese enchilada with beans and rice. The serving was huge and the price was reasonable, $14. My wife had the #1, chicken taco, cheese enchilada with beans and rice. The food was excellent. Chips and salsa was served while we waited for our order. The cheese enchiladas were ones of the best we've ever had. It pays to read the reviews and this restaurant comes highly recommended. The service was excellent, the staff is very friendly and attentive to the table. Thanks Aztecas, the food was great, reasonably priced and your hospitality is excellent."

"This cozy restaurant had really nice romantic ambiance! They even accommodated a last minute extra guest and pushed the time of our reservation back. A friend had suggested this restaurant so I took my best friend for her birthday, which the restaurant helped to organize a personalized happy birthday menu with her name ending with sparklers on her truffles at the end of the night! We ordered the fried calamari with very interesting sauces, fried oysters (was slightly disappointed there weren’t fresh oysters offered), roasted beet carpaccio (the sea salt served in a little bowl rather on a spoon would have been preferred), the Waygu burger and the squid ink pasta (with delicious gochujang sauce). Overall the presentation of each entree/plate was beautiful, and the waiter (Josh) was a delight and very helpful in making our decisions on our food journey here! The drinks were also a smash and very delicious!"

"When we travel we try to hit restaurants that have been on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives and the place held up to the comments by Guy on the show. I had a hamburger and onion rings and my husband and I think they were the best we've ever had. Crispy and the onion was just al dente so when you bit in you weren't dragging out the entire onion. Drinks were good, bar tender was friendly. It was a great place and we'll be back if ever in Grand Junction again."

"Lovely restaurant looking out on the campus of Colorado Mesa University with indoor and outdoor seating, the latter with fire pits. We had a happy hour $5 cocktail in the bar first, and the bartender was delightfully knowledgeable and pleasant. The dinner that followed was excellent throughout--fresh, well prepared, beautifully presented--including creative items like a buffalo tamale. The food quality was outstanding as was the service and the pleasant ambience. This is surely the best restaurant in Grand Junction and one worth driving a good distance to experience."
