Sri Dosa Palace - Piatti

I actually moved to this area just to be closer to Sri Dosa, haha! They have quickly become my favorite restaurant of all time.

I understand why the other review decided to live here. the dosa, lonely, chutneys are all amazing. also the idlis with solitary are so tasteful

I can see why the other reviewer decided to live nearby...the dosa, sambar, and chutneys are absolutely fantastic. Even the idlis served with sambar are incredibly flavorful.

There were so many choices. We went with lentil donuts and I asked the server what to get without dairy and they were very helpful. Ended with a spicy mango dosa and it was great.

The food was absolutely perfect – you really need to try it! The rava dosa, masala dosa, and podi idlis were all incredibly satisfying. We even took some idlis and upma home, and they were delicious as well. However, the chutney didn’t hold up well. The service was quick, and there’s free parking located across from the restaurant. The food was excellent, the service was top-notch, and there were plenty of vegan options available. The authenticity of the cuisine was impressive. During our visit, they had a self-serve pot of lentil soup that was absolutely delicious. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive, happily answering our questions and even offering us some complimentary items!

With little doubt, I’d say that it’s yet another South Indian places to dine in. The food is indeed good, but so are the other restaurants competing around the place. What gave this one less star is the fact that the food is slightly overpriced, thepremises a tad bit less tidier and the orders were delivered a bit later than usual. I’d not call the dosa batter authentic toSouth Indian cuisines, but it wasn’t bad either. Overall, it earns a star less than the other two South Indian eateries in OakTree road, but it still earns three for the convenience it offers.

Don't let the unprepossessing look of the building fool you this place is the real deal! We were in the area and pulled up our trustworthy Happy Cow app which found Sri Dosa Place nearby and already had glowing reviews. It was bustling at 5:30PM with what looked like local regulars. I think we were the only non Indians in the place but the wait staff were super friendly and found a table for us. A lady at the next table helped us understand what Dosa was (crêpes) and suggested what she felt were good noob items.
