"I find myself utilizing these reviews for my own personal choices more often than not, so when it came time to post a review on The Hen and the Hog i found it a catch 22. The higher the rating the busier the establishment , but its only fair even if i have to wait the next time i pass by. And again as i always want to reiterate the experience my family and i had is what i am posting about. The service was excellent Saturday 7:00 pm, The food was excellent. I would go back anytime. The Minnesota wontons appetizer is very good although i found the portion was smaller at 6 pieces than i thought for 12$. But the entrees were larger than one might expect. Most of the tables were full during our experience and the wait time from when we sat down to the time we left was less than one hr. Again this was my experience and i hope that you find the same. Good day!"

"We were attracted to this restaurant because of the high ratings however upon arrival on a Saturday at dinner time, the parking lot was nearly empty. Which is mostly a deterrent in most cases. Due to the high rating we went in anyway. The atmosphere was very basic super close out layout as compared to opened and welcoming. The waitress and waiters were decent and checked on us regularly. The food was mediocre at best relying meanly on the accompanying sauces for flavor. We opted in for the all you can eat option which was a huge mistake because we ended up paying double the price for a single person order. We ordered two servings on the same checklist but only got one person’s order and was billed for two person. We were so disappointed and just paid and left most of the food on the table without opting to try anything else."

"Everything was perfect. I got my coffee very fast and it was very delicious! Also, the worker Raeven, they were really cool. Fast with my order and even helped me when i spilt my drink! "I recently ordered dinner from this restaurant and overall, it was a delightful experience, especially with the food. I would rate my meal a solid 5 out of 5—the flavors were exceptional, and everything was cooked to perfection. However, the service left much to be desired. I would give it only a 2 out of 5. The delivery took longer than expected, and there were a few issues with my order. Despite the service hiccups, the quality of the food makes it worth a try if you're looking for a delicious meal at a reasonable price of $20–30 per person."

"Absolutely fantastic food! I live in South Texas and visited my daughter in Minnesota. The tacos here are definitely on par with those from the Rio Grande Valley! I dined in for dinner, and the meal cost around $10–20 per person. I would rate the food a 5, the service a 5, and the atmosphere a 5 as well. I highly recommend trying the 14 Pollo Loco dish!"
