"We had never been to Mondovi Wisconsin on purpose. A construction detour took us through town on a Saturday afternoon and this bar looked interesting, so we stopped. We only had drinks, no food. They have a small grill and there were daily food specials posted. The food prices were very reasonable. It is a typical small town bar with a selection of tap beers. We had a couple of Wisconsin brewed beers, they were cold and inexpensive. The bar tender was not unfriendly when we talked to her. The place is right on the main street and there is a lot of free on-street parking."

"We arrived about an hour before closing time, and the open sign was lit, with customers already seated and enjoying their meals. However, as soon as we walked in, we were informed that they weren't open. When we pointed out that the sign indicated they were still welcoming guests for another hour, the hostess explained that they had decided to close early on Fridays. "One downside, however, is that the menu is quite extensive, which can be overwhelming with so many options to choose from. I decided on the Chicken Salad Sandwich, which came with chips and a pickle (check out the photo!). Everything was incredibly fresh—the bread, the chicken salad, and even the chips had that perfect crunch. It was all absolutely delicious, and just thinking about it makes me hungry again! I also want to highlight how clean the restaurant is; the restroom was spotless, which adds to the overall positive impression.
