"Went to Easter dinner barely no ones eating people kinda non-personable workers. I ordered calamari for appetizer and some drink and thinking try it before we ordered.its was ok but don't look appetizing to me my drink was good and the hard baguette like a rock hehehhe. So we ordered a cheese burger and a burger for me with lettuce,tomato and grilled onion with side of fries and a little bit of mayo.we got the food with no lettuce and tomatoes on both burgers like who the hell forgot and mess up the burger come on now.i think its pricey and the food was not really great. One customer complain about they're food and no one give a remorse.the place is kinda trying to make upscale restaurant the it's not really all that I'm sorry but that's my opinion and sorry I wouldn't coming back at all. And if you ever come visit here check ur credit card that u use after 3 days they will charge again for tips.horrible experience"

"Really liked this place, we ate here while visiting the the town to see the world 's largest rubber duck event. Food was excellent and good size portions. Son and I have basically an omelet stuffed with sausage and cheese as I recall . He had grilled potatoes I had them fried. I don 't like grits but ordered as a side so my son could try them. I added a tad of butter and he liked them, I had a spoon and they were good. The wife had scrambled eggs, bacon etc, a standard breakfast. Overall we thought very good and a good amount of food for the money. Coffee was excellent, I can 't remember the prices but for the three of us with tip I think 50 total. Only issue was as you walk in there is a Specials of the day grease board. We didn 't see that and ordered off the menu. I saw it after we ordered and really hoped to try the Farmers Breakfast . We went on a Sunday morning early and no crowd. Tried to go Sat night but a line out the door. Hoped to go on the following Monday morning but after the weekend event I guess they gave the employees the day off and were close. If we ever get back over to the Crisfield area we will DEFINITELY return. We all thought it was excellent and though food prices are high a good value for the amount of food we received."

"We ordered a bushel of crabs to enjoy over the holiday weekend with family friends and were extremely disappointed in a pretty darn expensive meal. We ordered heavy seasoning...they had practically none when they arrived. The flavor was so off-putting on a lot of them and many of them were just downright MUSHY and inedible (or at least ones we were not willing to risk getting sick off of). Over half of them had cracked shells or were missing large chunks of the outer shell. It's hard to tell when that happened but many of them with cracked shells had a foul odor and taste. A few of them were black inside. We didn't keep track of them during the first sitting, but out of the last half bushel, 8 of 20 crabs were inedible. That's 40% of what we opened!!!! There were 12 left which we have yet to open but all of those outer shells are fine. Even still, that's a 25% trash rate on a half bushel. Apply that math to the price of the whole bushel and that's throwing $120 down the drain. Not to mention just being completely disappointed with the whole experience. We contacted The Crab Place immediately during business hours to inform them of our dissatisfaction. The response? To paraphrase, it had to be an anomaly, cracked shells are fine, seasoning is subjective. They took zero responsibility for their product, even after we sent these photos. Basically told us we didn't know what we're talking about and they offered us a free half bushel when we ordered $100 or more of product from them in the future. Now I ask you...WHY would I spend MORE money with you when you jipped me on what I paid for? That's NOT customer service."

"We visit Janes island each year for our family vacation and frequently visit this location, this year has to have been the worst..it’s bad usually but couldn’t believe how rude and terrible the entire staff seemed to be. The manager was extremely impatient and rude to our group the food was bland and burnt buns were burnt and hard..our mother got sick on the ride home after eating here. The employees were on their phones and chit chatting and payed no attention to people who tried to get their attention. I felt horrible watching them interact with other customers even telling them they just wanted to leave to go watch football. It was dirty and smelled bad the employees looked dirty and unkempt. We will be making other plans for our last day camping breakfast and easy quick meals from now on. We visited on sept 10th"

"We 've been eating at the Gathering Place since they opened, taking the building formerly occupied by The Circle Inn. We have enjoyed breakfasts, lunches and the occasional dinner there. Decor is pleasant, and the servers are great. Unfortunately the food seems to be suffering. Last night we arrived at about 5:30 PM and seated ourselves in a booth. Our server as always, was cheerful and efficient. I ordered the hand breaded shrimp dinner, having enjoyed the fresh shrimp before. I was really disappointed to recieve frozen breaded shrimp.....still triangular from being packed in the box, with a bland, tasteless breading that fried up so hard it was tooth shattering. Accompanied by applesauce from a can and frozen crinkle cut fries, the whole thing made me wish I had stayed home and had a TV dinner. Even the bread basket contained half stale dinner rolls and some sort of underbaked raisin bread that had not even had time to thaw before slicing........ Husband frozen pork chop slices were, according to him, marginally better than my shrimp, his plate also contained the scoop of mashed potatoes that looked like it had been served with a melon baller, it was that small. The institutional gravy over the top just made it even sadder. And after asking for italian dressing on the salad, he was less than thrilled to recieve a tiny packet of creamy italian (basically relabeled ranch dressing) . I feel bad because I 've been recommending this place to Crisfield visitors."
