Initial impressions: The staff member was quite rude. There was only one person handling both orders and cooking. However, the food was decent and reasonably priced.

The fries weren't impressive. I ordered a Gyro Cheese Burger, which was delicious, and I was really hungry, but the fries didn’t meet my expectations—none of them were good. As for parking, it's all street parking on either side of Madison.

This local treasure, Sunny Sub, provides a delightful atmosphere and outstanding service. A highlight of their menu is the Chicken Sandwich, which is expertly fried and served with fresh green lettuce and cheese, all tucked into a soft sesame seed bun—definitely a must-try. Whether you're stopping by for a quick lunch or enjoying a leisurely dinner, Sunny Sub consistently offers a wonderful dining experience that keeps customers returning. I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The service was terrible, and it seems like they just don’t care. Although they advertise that they're open until 4 AM, when I called at 2:30 AM to place an order, the staff member told me I had to come in person. So, I drove over, only to be told by an older gentleman that they were only serving Italian beef sandwiches. I explained that I had come all the way there to hear that, and he just shrugged it off, acting like he didn’t know what was going on. It felt like he was just being lazy. I won’t be ordering from this place again.

I think the prices are excessively high for the neighborhood. Additionally, the portion sizes do not justify the cost. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak meal because I'm from Philly, and I expected the traditional 13-inch hoagie roll we use. Instead, I got something just a bit larger than a hotdog bun, served on a small platter with a tiny portion of lukewarm fries. All of this added up to $11.00. While the hoagie was tasty, it was definitely not a true Philly cheesesteak. It feels like they are taking advantage of the neighborhood. I understand there aren’t many options, which is why we end up buying from here.
