Oh my God. What can I say? The fried lobster with garlic fries it's really good. The bread they give you with it is really fresh. If you haven't tried fried lobster from Surf's Up, you really need to get there.

Excellent food and outstanding customer service! I enjoyed the grilled shrimp and fried green tomatoes, and I also had the beignets, which were delightful. This is definitely a place you should visit when you're in the area!

I was so disappointed in this place. All the meal here ranges from 22 to 28 dollars. The food is bland and the portion size is not worth it. Don't waste your time and money going to this place. I tried to support this place because it's black owned not a good idea.

I wouldn’t recommend spending your time or money here. I wanted to support this Black-owned business, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations.

We were playing pickleball in the park nearby and decided to stop by Surf's Up on a whim The service was amazing! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Definitely gave the place a homey feel to it. Food was good too, servings were big and fry on the fish was spot on. The fries were a little oily and soggy though but we didn't mind. I ordered a catered meal from Surf's Up Bronzeville for my daughter’s graduation party. We enjoyed chicken wings, catfish, corn and potatoes, greens, fried green tomatoes with their house-made Surf’s Up sauce, and fried biscuits. Everything was absolutely delicious, and DeAngela provided outstanding customer service! The guests especially loved the potatoes—I should have ordered the large pan. Highly recommended! I can’t wait to try other menu items like the crab leg dinner and shrimp. Thank you, Surf’s Up, for nailing it!

This is an excellent restaurant with exceptional food. I ordered the Whiting dinner with a quarter pound of shrimp and had to try the fried green tomatoes. I also enjoyed the beignets, which were just as fresh as the fish. The seasoning was perfect. I regret not trying the greens; I saw another customer enjoying them so much that they made a purchase after sampling! I will definitely be back for those.
