Ok so I've been ordering takeout from sushiwa but I stopped that because it was expensive and I've had better sushi. However I happened to find the actual restaurant (on a whim) and thought, why not? It's a cozy little place (I'll give it a 4) so I order a special roll...ehh... I've still had better and it was a 15$ roll! It wasn't filling (as sushi goes) so to fill me up I ordered a eel and cucumber hand roll. Ladies and gentlemen when I tell you this hand roll was from God...like I felt like giving then a solid 4 stars just for that roll. Being honest, very pricey for sushi their basics are better than the specialties. Good for dates and ppl who aren't sushi snobs (like me lol) 3.85 stars

*Takeout Review* Prior to Covid, couple of coworkers and myself would visit Sushiwa quite often for lunch, since it is close by. Hadn't been in for awhile, the place looks quite nice with the new renovation. I was in the area and decided to stop by and order one of my favorites (Spicy Chicken Bento box). Although the restaurant changed, the original flavor hasn't. Bento box contains: Small salad, Spring roll, fried dumpling, Rice and Spicy chicken. and a side of Miso soup. Most Japanese restaurants that I have come across have the generic Bento box options (Such as Teriyaki chicken, teriyaki beef, tempura shrimp). I came for lunch with a few of co-workers because they offer few lunch options. the interior of the restaurant is very well decorated they have few tables and a nice sushi bar. Between 1130 am and 2pm, you have the option to choose between several bento box. I order the Spicy Chicken marinated in Korean spicy sauce vegetables with is served with a miso soup some garden salad, two fried shrimp dumplings, harumaki (Vege), three peace of a California roll white rice for 13.5$. The portion is pretty good for that price, the soup was good the salad was very good but the chicken was not that spicy and rice portion was not that big but worth it for the price The staff are very nice and fast a good...
