"The service at this place was outstanding—everyone was warm and welcoming, and the owner even took the time to chat with us. The walls were decorated with stunning photography, which added to the delightful ambiance. I truly wish I could give this café 10 stars! If more people share their experiences, I have no doubt this charming spot will become well-known! Everything was exceptional. After spending the night in Grand Island, we drove back just to have dinner here. They were featuring a sirloin buffet, and I’m not exaggerating when I say it was the best sirloin I’ve had in my 60 years of life. I have no clue how they manage to achieve such incredible flavor! I'll be coming back every year and will definitely recommend this place to everyone I know passing through Nebraska. The Sweet Shoppe Café is a real gem!"

This is an amazing place that is right on Main Street in St Paul, Nebraska. Good food, noon specials and breakfast options. AND.. don?t miss the 1650 unique cookie jars on display!!! Great people, reasonable prices and good food.

there met with the family. had a lot of food. some had breakfast. others had the buffet. that was huh, pork, kartoffel and gravy. those who ate the buffet returned for seconds. always incredible eating and desserts! very friendly atmosphere!

Small bakery with a small area to hold baked goods for sale. What we had was very good. They also have a fairly large selection of locally made syrups and jellies. There were lots of tables where people were eating. Apparently, meals are served here, as well. They also have the largest collection of cookie jars you could ever imagine. There must be a couple thousand or so.

July 2023: I had heard that the restaurant is under new ownership, so I was a bit hesitant to visit. However, I was happily surprised! The food is incredible—fresh and incredibly tasty. The prices are also quite reasonable. I noticed the cookie jars are no longer there, but that's actually an improvement since the place is immaculate. I'm sure Gordon Ramsay would be impressed!
