"Our server, Chris, at the Beef N Barrel on Union St. in Olean, NY, was one of the best I have ever had the pleasure of meeting in our travels. She was pleasant, professionally friendly, and perfectly attentive without hovering. The Roast Beef Dinner was worth every penny, with tender beef generously covered in gravy. A special note for those who prefer their steaks medium rare - the roast beef is actually rare, so be sure to order yours medium if you don't want it too juicy. The homemade rolls were delicious and you can't go wrong with any choice of their mixed-in kitchen salad dressings. If you happen to be traveling near Olean, NY, make sure to stop in and see Chris at the Beef N Barrel on Union St."

"The manager was very welcoming, and the food was served hot! The sweet potato fries and wings were excellent. However, the pizza was average and could have used a bit more cooking. This busy and popular spot has been a neighborhood staple for decades, offering a cozy pub atmosphere."

"Our server was not very professional. Despite making reservations in advance, she did not allow us to sit in the area we requested, even though she admitted that the reservations were for another room. We were also denied seating in the advertised brick room upstairs, as someone else had a reservation for that space as well. The manager did not effectively coordinate for a satisfactory customer experience. I had to remind our server to clear our dirty plates, and she failed to inquire about our dietary restrictions before serving us bread, causing issues for those of us who are gluten intolerant. The portions were small for the high prices - we spent nearly $50 on just two dishes, one of which was a salad. The restaurant itself had a cafeteria-like appearance with a bar, and the staff did not seem very attentive or caring towards customers. When we requested to speak to the manager, she only came over after we indicated that we were leaving due to the long wait. Overall, this restaurant is overpriced and lacking in quality service. It does not live up to the standards of a reputable establishment and should consider closing down. Save your money and dine elsewhere."

"My friend and I were pleasantly surprised during our first visit to Rafis Platter. Our waiter, Chad, went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic dining experience. He answered all of our questions, made recommendations, consulted with the chef about the ingredients in a dish, and even showed us the proper way to eat the Pakistani platter. We will definitely be returning. Thank you, Chad, for all that you did. I even took a picture of our meal when we were halfway through. I had never tried curry before, but now I love it."

"It's absurd to make you wait to be seated until your entire party arrives, especially when the restaurant is empty. They claimed it was a new rule. The waitress argued with us when we asked a question about the menu, which was unprofessional. Having to ask for another drink when the place was empty is simply unacceptable for customer service. It was ridiculous to see her reach over patrons rudely to grab a piece of silverware. I could understand if it were busy and they needed to clear tables quickly, but as it stands, we've decided to take our business elsewhere. When you treat your paying customers like you don't need them, they will respond in kind and go somewhere else."
