Onion rings are delicious as is most of their food. My daughter and I ate a meal there every day. Nice people and old fashioned good food!

first visit at anvil restaurant and it was not disappointed. eating was great, prices are good, the service could not have been better and the atmosphere is so fantastic. such a charming little restaurant. a real gem in st. genevieve, mo.

Food was great! Sweet tea had a fly in it. The waitress offered to refill my drink and I said yes because I didn't want to point out the fly, which was so obvious. Well she brought the drink back and the fly was in it... I'd still like to go back and try it again. Visualizza piatti

We visited recently and was disappointed for the first time. The fried chicken was very dark, dry and small. The onion rings which are usually delicious were luke warm and not crispy. They were short staffed so can explain some issues however not the tiny pieces. The server was excellent!

After hearing about this hidden gem from a local, I decided to give it a try. My friend and I shared the Anvil Club sandwich, which was packed with flavor. The onion rings were a must-try and absolutely delicious. My only suggestion would be to offer a personal size option, as the small (20) and large (30) servings were quite large. The service was also good.

My husband, father-in-law had a late lunch here yesterday. At 1:30 on a Wednesday it was pretty busy but the bartender found us a table up a few stairs overlooking the main dining area. Both he the waitress were very friendly attentive with quick service. The onion rings were light delicious, not greasy. The batter stayed on them well. They have their own mayo, horseradish, mustard sauce for them. We all ordered fried chicken. The fried chicken is great. One of the sides available is a local tradition, beef liver dumplings served with beef gravy. My mom is from Ste.
