Steaks are much smaller than they used to be and way over priced. Also the wine prices are ridiculously inflated

The food was fantastic, the service was top-notch, and the atmosphere was lovely. However, it was a little expensive. Overall, a great spot for a special celebration.

The food and ambiance at this restaurant are consistently excellent, and the service is exceptional. While it may be slightly more expensive than other dining options in Charleston or Huntington, the prices are more comparable to upscale restaurants in major cities. Visualizza piatti

Great dinner experience here at the bar. The bartender was fun as friendly. My filet was cooked perfectly. They split the wedge salad for us which was perfect. I substituted the dressing for creamy garlic. It was ok but maybe keep the blue cheese dressing if you like it. My friend got the sea bass special and really liked it. Great upscale restaurant option in Charleston!

Just not what it used to be. The service has progressively trended downward the last couple of years. Tonight we even had to ask for rolls. The food is pretty good and when paired with the level of service they used to provide the price was still very steep but the experience itself was so special it made up for it. I don’t consider dining here special anymore so I won’t justify the cost.

The restaurant is very well appointed. Service was very good and the food was unbelievable!! We were a party of four and ordered items from spicy calamari, crab lobster cakes, scallops and filet mignon as main courses. Sides were smashed garlic potatoes, macaroni cheese, etc. The food was FANTASTIC! The filet mignon could be cut with a fork and was cooked to perfection. The ambiance was great. Drinks were good and it goes downhill from there. Ordered the salmon which was salty along with the shared broccoli and scalloped potatoes. The broccoli was cold and undercooked and the sauce was so cold it was stuck in the pitcher. The scalloped potatoes were hard inside. We also order the scallops which were good and a filet which was ordered medium and was served medium well, no pink. I guess the bottom line is dont order the very expensive side dishes. Service was okay. I bet the server was at the table over eight times. This is far from being a Ruth's Chris.

Best steak house in WV! The service was excellent. Ariana took very good care of us and made us feel incredible special and safe during COVID. Ariana made sure every inch of where customers sit and eat were sanitized. The staff was amazingly friendly and respectful. The food was fresh, perfectly prepared don't pass up the popovers! Once the lightly crisp popovers touch your mouth, the experience will take you to a delicate fluffy mouse! Steaks were perfectly prepared. Loved the French Onion Soup! They offer gluten free and many special dietary options. Can not beat the service! Thank you Ariana for a wonderful night, and thank you to the Chefs at The Chop House for the great food!

Just got into town with the family, kids wanted filets so after researching steak houses we went with The Chop House. Didn 't think much about dress code since we 've been traveling and it was 8pm (after dinner) we weren 't under dressed per say but we were definitely not business or fancy attire. Our girls were disappointed we didn 't let them wear the fancy dresses they packed (hey it 's 30 degrees). We were seated right away. Server greeted the table def talked at us like we 've never been out to eat before (trust me we look pretty decent and have all our teeth).
