"We had a reservation (which I highly recommend) we arrived a few minutes early and ordered a drink at the bar while we waited on our table. We had the pimento cheese as our appetizer, I ordered the shrimp and grits and my husband had the salmon and gumbo special. Everything was delicious! The restaurant is rustic casual and the tables are close together. We had a great conversation with the table next to us! Fun evening, atmosphere and great food!"

Love the food at The Hound. This visit was particularly crowded as the tables were packed VERY closely together and it was difficult to have a good conversation which is why I like to eat out with family and friends.

They offer a selection of at least 2-3 milk alternatives and a variety of hot and cold coffee drinks. always a winner! craft bier selection is small but excellent. Usually we have whatever the fish is because it is always fresh and well prepared. this time we stick to the regular menu offers. the lamb was excellent, fork tender and rich. we also have the bacon caramel popcorn, which is like a decadent adult cracker jack. it is an appetizer and lip-smacking. we have saved a bit for dessert, what it can be. so sweet!
