"Terrific experience! It was our first time! The decor is funky inviting, it's a huge restaurant which is unusual in Montclair. Great bar with wonderful drink beer selections. They also have an outdoor bar patio. The staff is top notch. They overheard my husband wish me happy birthday and acknowledged it in a low key way witha candle in my dessert. They also were extremely knowledgeable about all menu items, and very personable. The food was delicious! Too many choices. I had the Monday special of roasted porchetta terrific! My husband had the Mac cheese with burnt bits. Don't let the name fool you, nothing about it was burnt but it was all delicious. Recommend the Juicy Lucy meatballs. We'll be back to try something else!"

Cool interior. Food is a 5 out of 10. Service not bad, but what restaurant doesn't have decaf coffee? Prices steep for the inferior food quality.

they had difficulty keeping us on the hostess station on 1st place because of the long line. frustrating listening to other people argue about a reservation if everything we want to do is sit because we actually had a reservation. once it was hour to get the 1st round of cocktails, but after that everything was great. the food came out in time and was good. the service also took off. We had a quiet lunch shortly after opening, and not many tables were filled. While staff were friendly, someone didn't get the order right and we got two of the wrong dish. Then the promised desert menu never arrived, so we just finished up and left. The food was tasty, however, and I would go back for a second try. One among us has been here in the evening, and said the place rocks with energy.

I’ve been to The Crosby a few times in the past, however I find that the quality of food and service has went downhill. All food arrived at the table cold and did not look or taste fresh. Waitress was attentive however mood switched when we went to pay for the check. They only allow for a 3 card minimum when splitting a check, not ideal when you are with a larger group. The Crosby is best to grab a drink before a dinner reservation somewhere else. The atmosphere and decor is great. The food quality was not what it used to be unfortunately.
