"1st time diners tonight. My husband and I dined on a Friday evening and were highly disappointed. The beers were cold and so was the food. Our baked potatoes were barely warm. My fried shrimp was also barely warm as well. Husbands porkchop was overseasoned and was also just warm. Plates were cold to the touch. Our experience as far as the food goes was unsatisfactory. Weare one and done, and not willing to give it another try. It was not busy either. $71.00 later, I may as well have thrown mymoney out the window. And we are not usually like this and typically give a restaurant a second chance."

My grandson and I ate at The Depot last week and I have nothing but great things to say about the experience. He had ribeye on the bone and I had fried shrimp. Both meals were served as requested and the taste was exceptional.

1st last time diners. Food was unsatisfactory. Overseasoned porkchop, cold baked potatoes, barely warm fried shrimp and cold plates. Floors were sticky. Definitely not fine dining as stated on their website. Love supporting local businesses but we won't ever go back.

Nice gem find for us in the small town of Corbin. Excellent service, and food. All you can eat catfish. Was amazing. breading was on point. Fries were different in a good way amazing perfect crisp and seasoned well. My wife enjoyed the cajun pasta with shrimp. Definitely recommend and will eat here again if we are back in the area. The order of service was terrible. We placed our drink and dinner order and the salad came out before our drinks. The entree was served before we finished our salads. My wife’s baked potato was cold. Our filets looked like they were pounded flat. The table was too dark that we had to use our phone’s flashlight to see the check when it came. It had been a year since our last visit to the restaurant and this may have been our last.

Quiet place during the week but it's a gem. Meet a semi local. Everyone who's anyone. This guy knows'em. I went because the reviews were good. They cook to order, so just ask. Be sure to tell them how you want it prepared too otherwise they'll cook itup how they like it ????. Salmon is wild Alaskan caught, and get the sweet potato as your dessert and dress it up withmarshmallows and caramel. Plenty of on-street parking. Excellent service. I'll be back soon.

"The last place we ventured to on our Food Fun Adventure Weekend was The Root Beer Stand in Corbin, KY. The Root Beer Stand is a drive in style burger joint located right beside Corbin High School. We ordered and split a few items from the menu. The cheeseburger was juicy and not too thick. It had a good cook to it from what I believe is a griddle. It was fully dressed with fresh lettuce, tomato, pickles, and mayo. All in all a good burger. I ordered onion rings which were fried well and had a good crunch. The batter was a little thicker than I like, but they were tasty. I sampled the crinkle cut fries and though fried well, they did need a touch more salt.I also tried a local favorite known as the Dixie Burger. This is a hamburger with pickles and onions and a BBQ sauce. Again the burger was cooked well although not as juicy as the Cheeseburger. The onions and pickles worked well with the BBQ sauce. The sauce had a mild sweetness to it but was a bit thin. I think it was a good burger, but the sauce could be thicker for a better mouth feel and chew.My fiancé tried the Root Beer Float, which she thought was great. It had a good balance of ice cream to soda. The Root Beer Stand serves fan favorites such as burgers, chili dogs, chuck wagons and even a BBQ sandwich. The staff was friendly, and the prices are pretty cheap. One side note is they do not have public restrooms, but the waitress said if the doors are unlocked anyone can use them. The Fat Man says that The Root Beer Stand is Fat Man Approved."
