The Dockside Grill - Piatti

Went at 6 pm. Left at 9:23 pm. Six people two got their dinner and finished before the other 4 dinners came 25 minutes late. One col and three over cooked. Horrible

This review focuses on the outdoor area by the river that is open during the summer. The outdoor grill food has significantly improved. There are also gun games and live music available. For special occasions, the indoor space provides a more elegant atmosphere.

Stopped here for pre drinks. They have a nice selection of specialty cocktails and a friendly bartender. We were a party of six, but they were very accommodating to us considering we were just having drinks. They offered for us to sit at a table. Went for lunch. Deck was very pleasant and fans everywhere to keep you cool. Service was good not great. A little forgetful. Lemons instead of limes in drink forgot refills at one point. Three out of the meals were very good. However the shrimp in the cocktail was half cooked and inedible. The Dungeness crabs were small and just ok. And not worth the hefty $50 per plate. We will go back few places like this in the area. Being on the river is very calming. We will be ordering different items off the menu.

What a nice evening! The place has a special, historic charm. We chose too sit at the bar. It was a comfortable spot. The bartender, Scott, was great! His service was attentive and he was absolutely sweet. The Charcuterie Board was fantastic! Cheeses and meats paired with figs and other fruits, olives and honeycomb. The perfect start with a glass of wine. My dining partner was not a fan of the blackening spice, but I enjoyed it. The seafood was cooked well and the risotto was delish, served with some sautéed vegetables. The Creme Brûlée was devine. An all around nice evening. I look forward to our next visit.

Afterward, we stepped outside to enjoy a breathtaking view of the lake, dotted with boats in the distance. Once again, we encountered Brian, who kindly took our photo with the sunset as our backdrop—complete with a stunning view of the water, sailboats, and the cheerful sounds of music and laughter surrounding us. Brian spent time chatting with us as if we were old friends. We later returned inside to celebrate my mother's birthday, singing to her at our table, and even had the entire room of guests join in! Pictured are the oysters and pork chop. Food- I tried their pork chop which was HUGE! Their portions are great and very reasonably priced. I typically order seafood when I dine out but I've heard great things about the pork chop and it didn't disappoint. Sometimes restaurants miss seasoning the sides, as the protein is of most importance and Sugar Hills mash potatoes were delish! The broccoli rabe paired with the dish was equally as well seasoned. Have always heard really good things about this place over the years and decided to stop in for dinner and drinks with some friends, little did we know we were heading for a culinary catastrophe. When we first arrived, the building is rundown it's an old building, but unlike other older buildings like the Franklinville Inn, that's taken care of this building is not.
