"The service at Frank’s was excellent. We were greeted with warm rolls and decided to order mozzarella sticks. Both were outstanding, with the marinara sauce being very tasty. At that point, we were gearing up for what we thought would be a 5-star review, and my wife even remarked on how slow the business seemed for such a great restaurant. Then our main courses arrived. While I appreciate fast service, there are certain places where you hope the food takes a bit longer to ensure freshness, and authentic Italian food is probably one of those places. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case at Frank’s. The service was quick, which might have affected our impression of the main course quality. I ordered the Chicken Parm Cremera. The chicken wasn't breaded like I had expected, but that didn't detract from the dish. It was tender and flavorful. It came with spaghetti noodles, topped with a cream sauce and what seemed to be parmesan cheese. My main concerns were with the sauce and cheese: while the sauce was good, it tasted like it might not have been homemade or fresh, resembling a jarred sauce that hadn’t been seasoned. The cheese on top appeared to be the pre-shredded kind you buy in a bag. Overall, the dish was decent but lacked authenticity or freshness. My wife ordered the pasta sampler, which included ravioli (she substituted meat for cheese), manicotti, and lasagna. I tried the ravioli and found it just okay. The marinara sauce was again quite good, but the ravioli didn't stand out and seemed like it wasn't homemade. My wife thought the manicotti was decent, but she was puzzled by the taste of the lasagna. She mentioned that the meat tasted off, although I won’t go into her exact description. We suspect it might have been frozen or possibly old. In the end, the food was acceptable. It was definitely edible, but beyond that, there wasn't a lot to rave about. I wouldn’t label this as a bad review, but I can’t call it a great one either. If we lived in the area, I might consider giving it another shot, but it’s not somewhere we’d rush back to."

"The restoration of this former bank is truly impressive, and the food is delicious. However, it was quite noisy and uncomfortably cold due to strong drafts from the fans. I also encountered an issue in the ladies' restroom, where there are pools of standing water at the edge of the vanity, which unfortunately soaked my shirt multiple times. I did inform the wait staff about this the first time, but it hasn't been fixed yet. On a positive note, they offer a tasty gluten-free cauliflower pizza crust for those with dietary restrictions. Service was in-house dining."

"I have mixed feelings about this restaurant. I ordered a salad with a house vinegrette and the flavor was lacking. It needed more acidity and salt. I ordered a pasta dish pictured below and it was okay. I've had better seasoned pasta dishes in the same price range at other local places. The service was good and the whole lunch was tolerable overall, though I had to salt and pepper everything to have any actual flavor. The reason I am rating 4 stars is due to the white chocolate crème brûlée. Had I only eaten dessert I would give 5 stars hands down without hesitation. It was amazingly delicious. Like, close your eyes and try to behave appropriately while in public delicious. I will be returning just to try the desserts again."

"My husband and I are regular patrons of Saku Saku! We absolutely love their Hollywood Roll, Boston Roll, and Super Crunchy Roll. Their gyoza is our favorite appetizer! The service at Saku Saku is exceptional; they always deliver our food promptly! I moved to Van Buren in 2018 and didn’t get a chance to try their food when they were still operating from their food truck. Saku Saku is a wonderful example of a community success story, having successfully transitioned to their own storefront. I truly hope they continue to delight us with their food for many years to come! You have to try this sushi!"
