A restaurant with terrible hygiene inside the restaurant, an unbearable smell of drainage so we had to leave without even ordering anything

Not sure if it was just because it was a Sunday evening, they had little to no staff, bartender did his best, my food was barely warm. Maybe it was a fluke.

The service was a bit slow in bringing out the food, and the meat could use a bit more flavor. However, the nuggets were delicious, and the pasta had a unique taste that I enjoyed. Visualizza piatti

It had been a year and a half since our last visit, as we were dissatisfied with the quality of the food back then, often receiving cold dishes. I'm not sure what's happened to this place; it used to be great when it first opened, but now it seems to have lost its way.

Whew chile,the food was not good at all. I ordered the fried green tomatoes and by no means do I suggest ordering them. They were not seasoned and the coating did not stay on. Very disappointed . I ordered a burger, because no one can mess up a burger. Well, go to Highlander they will. Absolute worst burger I have ever had! I also had the fried pickles. Yuck yuck yuck! I won't be back. It seems as if their food and service have gone down.

As a side note, I was appalled to learn that they had a rat and roach infestation and closed down just days after my order. Thank goodness they shut down! If a restaurant has such serious issues, it should temporarily close to resolve them instead of serving food made in unsanitary conditions. I’m relieved to hear about the permanent closure; with owners prioritizing profits over safety and integrity, they clearly were not capable of running a business like this. What a shame! I had passed by this restaurant every day on my way to the office but had never stopped in until last weekend. I was pleasantly surprised! The staff were fantastic and created a really welcoming atmosphere. Just stepping inside felt quite relaxing. The only downside was that I wanted to try the Highlander pie, but it wasn't available at 12:30 due to the brunch menu. So instead, I ordered the big burrito. The only drawback was that the tortilla was quite thick, so I ended up just eating the filling, which was delicious!

We visited this restaurant around 2 PM on a Wednesday and had a wonderful experience! The service was perfect, and the food was outstanding. It was our first time here, and our group is eager to return. I highly recommend the Chicken Waffles, but be sure to arrive hungry as it's quite a large portion for one person! The Highlander Pie is also fantastic, and there's plenty to share. Don't miss out on the bacon and egg burger with fries either! Our waitress, Tiffany C., was exceptional and very attentive. If you're in the area, we highly recommend this place!

Haven't been to Highlander in a few years and I wish I'd been back sooner. 1st of all our server MiMi was OUTSTANDING. Our tea was always full and she checked on us several times but not to much to be Interruptive of our meal. There was 4 in our party and everyone's meals were 5 star. The cheese log appetizer was by far the best ive had in Texas!!! My wife had the chicken fried chicken. I did try it and it was tender and incredibly juicy. It's not the standard chicken fried but rather deep fried breast and was simply amazing. I had the fish and chips and they were absolutely incredible. The tarter sauce was insanely good.
