"I never thought there could be a bad pizza or bad donut. It 's more that it 's just not the BEST you 've ever had. And that 's the case with my experience at The Jelly Donut. I 've had this bookmarked on my list cuz of its high 4.5 star rating. I got my typical fave, glazed twist and an Apple fritter. I could taste the oil and fried ness of the donuts and personally that 's not my preferred taste when eating my donuts. I like a light yet thick fluffy doughnut. Later I tried the Apple fritter and again could taste the oil and fried batter. There wasn 't much cinnamon or apples inside. I did end up throwing the rest away because I had to cut my losses of calories vs enjoyment. From the wise words of my bf Was the juice worth the bite? And my answer unfortunately would be No, not worth it today. So sorry Jelly Donut."

The food at this restaurant is always fresh, fluffy, and non-greasy. They are consistently well-stocked, even up until closing time. And the variety of delicious options is truly outstanding.

Donuts simply perfection. Shop located in a beautiful area, with good shops nearby too. Bike route down from the Dublin BART to the shop has bike lanes (even protected bike lanes along Las Positas Blvd and is smooth. Owners very friendly and gave a few extra donut holes for free! :

Is this the best donut place in the tri-valley? I can't say for sure, but I do know they are pretty much what a donut should be so I don't seek out other places for donuts. The dozen comes with a great variety of types, flavors and shapes and the donuts are always delightfully puffy and fresh. Never oily or greasy. What more can I ask of a donut? If you have a taste for just a great classic donut, this is a solid choice.

How do you show someone you love them? Buy them donuts.Valentine's Day calls for, sometimes, special things. Today, I needed this. And, for sure, I'm not the only one. A line 15 deep tells all.The one negative is that they don't have too much variety. Give me MORE.I've never been before, but what I experienced at The Jelly Donut is FLUFFY, good oil, and very fresh. My love and I tried a cinnamon roll, a special heart-shaped donut, and a chocolate custard.Score.

"We had a very nice Mother's Day dinner here because I'm the mom and I was craving Italiano. This was a last minute plan and I really appreciate that the Hostess who took my call was so upbeat and welcoming. I enjoyed the dim lighting, candles at the table, and large window view of passersby on the street. This was exactly what I was hoping for and I definitely recommend this place for a romantic date night. The type of restaurant setting that makes me put on a nice dress and some heels. The drinks were good. My daughters were delighted that their Shirley's arrived with 3 cherries. The wine and cocktail menus were quite nice. We requested bread because we were all feeling hungrier by the minute. The bread was wonderful. I had a cup of the minestrone soup and it was nothing short of DELICIOUS. My carbonara was great, but the chicken that I added to the meal wasn't the high quality tender grilled chicken breast that I craved. It was dry over cooked chicken that was oily/greasy without any distinct flavor. I did notice that they charge 6.00 if you wish to split a plate with another guest. Typically, when I want to try something new, I'll split it with a girlfriend or one of my kids. So, the 6.00 charge would definitely put quite a damper on what is typically a fun food adventure for our table. I look forward to coming back for another serving of that minestrone soon, because I already know it's delicious. Thanks Pastas"
