"Aitkin was our half way stop for my wife, granddaughter and I. We stayed at the club 40 Inn another review but we had breakfast here. My wife had 2 eggs hash browns and sausage patties, my granddaughter had a plate size pancake (she apologizes for spilling syrup on the table because she isn't used to a pancake that is slightly bigger than the plate) she asked if we could go there again... I had the 1/2 order of biscuits and gravy, with a side of bacon it was definitely homemade and it was very delicious I was also surprised to see a restaurant that still serves 4 yes 4 pieces of bacon as a side DEFINITELY and I do mean DEFINITELY go here if you are in the area."

"This restaurant has been a beloved spot in Aitkin for a long time, and the 40 Club has preserved its charm even after changing ownership last year. Both political parties use their meeting rooms, and the food is affordably priced and offers great value. The bar is welcoming as well. I frequently recommend the Sunday chicken dinner to travelers, as it's similarly priced to fast food but provides a genuine sit-down dining experience."

"I went here last summer on my way up North! The inside of the building is really pretty and has a very cozy feel! The staff are quite nice, and there’s a variety of food and drinks here, including ice cream and cookies! From what I can tell, they also are focused on supporting local artists, with pictures and artwork on the walls!"

"I highly recommend that you give this place a try! Our family of four (two adults, two teens) stopped in for dinner as we passed through town around 7pm. We asked to sit outside as the inside was too cold and noisy for our preference. We did love the look of the décor inside though. Very cool vibe! Our server was extremely kind and attentive to our needs. The food was fantastic!! Prices were also decent. We don't know what else there is to do in Aitkin, but we can't wait to go back so we can eat here again! The menu offers a lot of unique options as well as simpler, familiar dishes for the less adventurist. We ordered Pork Belly Bahn-Mi, Street Tacos, Pan Seared Scallops, and Truffle Ravioli. The scallop dish was mine and I really enjoyed it. My only complaint was that there were WAY too many onions in the dish. I was able to taste my daughter's ravioli and I LOEVD it! I would totally order that with shrimp, My husband enjoyed his Bahn-Mi, commenting that the pickled onions were really good and that the jalapeños were stronger than he was expecting, not that he was complaining! My son raved about the tortilla chips and fresh salsa that came with his tacos. He did feel that there was too much cheese on the tacos, but he tends to be picky. The beers looked fabulous, but we didn't have any on this trip. I'm eager to give them a try next time."
