"I hadn't visited the Loop in ages, and after my meal today, I can't understand why it took me so long to return. When we entered, the line looked daunting, but it moved along quickly. I was uncertain about what to order until I saw the special – a chicken pesto sandwich on ciabatta bread, served with a side (I opted for their tasty steak fries). The portion was enormous and could easily have been shared between two people. In fact, I didn't even touch the other half of the sandwich because there was just so much food! I really hope they decide to keep this on the menu because it has quickly become my new favorite!"

We ordered several pizzas for a department lunch and they were fantastic! The delivery arrived exactly on time, and all the pizzas were perfect. Everything was great! We will definitely be ordering from them again. Their service was impressive and quick!

The atmosphere is fantastic. The Loop is situated by the river, offering a lovely view. The food is also quite good. I usually order the grilled chicken sandwich, but the standout dish is definitely the cheeseburger with onion rings and a cookies and cream milkshake. That meal has to be one of the best I've ever had!

"Our hostess Marybeth greeted us and took us directly to our table, where we were served by Caroline who has impeccable, wine knowledge, and was just an overall pleasure to be around. I cannot recall the name of the young man that served us also but he was also a pleasure. Fantastic food service hats off to the cooking staff."

"First time out for dinner in the last weeks. We sat in the roof, couches are removed and tables spaced, but the same excellent food, service and experience. And we saw a table of that I swear we see every time we go. Glad things are getting back to normal, and masks and capacity aside, last night night reminds us how close we are. Great job, Black Sheep"

"Outstanding in every aspect! This is possibly the best restaurant in Jacksonville. I can't think of a local fine dining spot that surpasses it. It is upscale dining, so keep that in mind. Our server Kay was fantastic! She was knowledgeable, attentive without being overwhelming. The bread service is a bit slow, as others have mentioned, but that's because they bake it fresh. I prefer waiting for freshly baked bread over bread that has been sitting under heat lamps. The décor has a vintage charm that is quite pleasant. It reminds me of old family-owned restaurants in Europe. Our meal was delicious from start to finish. I do wish they had more options for wines by the glass, particularly for white wine drinkers like myself. However, I was still pleased with the selection. The addition of fresh flowers on the table was a lovely touch that is not often seen nowadays. The gesture of placing napkins on our laps was also appreciated. My husband ordered a classic cocktail and was pleasantly surprised by its strength. He had not expected such a well-made cocktail from a wine restaurant. Our total bill came to about $200 for both of us, including a complimentary dessert for my birthday and a bottle of wine. The menu offers great value for the quality of food. I highly recommend this restaurant."

"My boyfriend and I went last night to celebrate one year together! We had a reservation and we were greeted and sat by a hostess immediately. The food was really good! He got the salmon which I preferred over the fettuccine honestly. I would highly recommend the salmon it was to die for. We got truffle fries and a charcuterie board for appetizers. The truffle fries were amazing (we ate all of them between just the two of us)! The charcuterie board was a really good deal as you can pick up to 5 cheeses and meats for only $25. The tiramisu cheesecake for dessert was probably the best part! Our waitress was absolutely amazing! Our drinks were always full and she was very attentive and helped us navigate the menu easily. The only negative thing I can say is that it was pretty loud as we were sitting in a booth right by the bar but that’s to be expected! We will definitely be coming back!"

"I want to give major credit to the chef and the kitchen staff. Our meals were intriguing, delicious, and reasonably priced for such exquisite flavors. We don’t live in the area, and I'm not sure when we’ll be able to return. So, could you all go and share your experiences? We’d love to live vicariously through you! Honestly, if this fantastic place were in Raleigh, we would dine here at least once a week. And on top of that, they have half-priced wine nights on Mondays—how amazing is that?! Overall, we had a perfect experience, and I’m confident that everyone else will too. Cheers!"
