"Don't get the Friday fish fry! I saw another reviewer say this place has the worst service in Menasha and I couldn't have put it better myself. I completely stopped going here two years ago after they forgot an item from my food order and made no effort to rectify the issue. My options were to drive 10 minutes back there or go without. I went without. Today in a moment of weakness I tried the Friday fish fry again. I know I should have checked my order before I left but I have never been to a restaurant as incompetent as this one. So imagine my surprise when once again they forgot an item from my order (that I paid for), made no effort to make it right, required me to drive 10 minutes due to their error and by the time I actually got to eat the nastiness they call a fish fry it was cold. At this point I think they're purposefully leaving items out of orders to save money. Based on other reviews, I will eagerly await the owner's response explaining how it's my fault that The Old Grog is utterly incapable of hiring competent employees."

Gail Greg was good and I enjoyed the haddock. The walleye tasted fishy. My daughter said and my hubby that it was fishy tasting. The old fashions outstanding!

The staff and atmosphere were welcoming and pleasant. The food was excellent, and the bustling crowd is a testament to its quality. This is definitely a place you should try!

We are from out of town my husband and I stopped here to get dinner because we’re at a hotel nearby and we both ordered chicken. He got the dinner and I got the bowl and they were both very well cooked. The ingredients were yummy. We enjoyed thoroughly the meal and the server was very friendly and thorough. We will be back. I was looking for a lunch place in the Appleton area, read the reviews and I can tell by the owner's snarky responses this isn't a place I ever want to visit. Seems he/she just wants to head off complaints/issues at the time of service so nothing bad shows up online. Definitely not a place where the customer is always right. Good luck!

First time here because the reviews said the Friday fish was amazing. Well, we got fish, it tasted fine, but the portions were very small for the price. Even the amount of fries was pathetic. C'mon... fries are cheap, a handful just doesn't cut it. Servers were great! They paid attention, got drinks, asked the appropriate questions, joked with us... no issues there, very good.
