In the end, we spent $60 on an unimpressive meal and lackluster service. I seriously doubt I will return.

I'm not sure if this is the original location with Alice, Flo, and the others, but it likely isn't. It feels somewhat overrated. The food was decent, but they could really benefit from expanding their breakfast options beyond just potatoes.

If you enjoy 50s diner vibes then this is the place for you. The breakfast dishes are very good and always come out quickly. The salads have always had good lettuce and I've never been disappointed. The dishes are fairly large portions, and the kids food is properly sized.

I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious my salad was! The meals ordered by everyone else—burgers for the kids and a turkey plate for the man—were just average. However, the girls liked their food. Overall, we thought the prices were a bit steeper than the value of the meals.

The food was good. The service was very good. All the workers seemed to be working hard and working fast. There is a jukebox and every table and you can pay to have your favorite songs played throughout the restaurant. But the music was a little too quiet.Also kids food comes in a cardboard old time car.

We usually don't have any issues with Mel's, but today we all kinds of problems. The meat in my patty melt was undercooked, like raw and cold. The same for my daughter's cheeseburger. The chesseburger had what looked like an entire wedge of lettuce on it.While my granddaughter's fries were over-seasoned, ours were very under-seasoned and barely warm. The restaurant was not crowdedso it's not like the kitchen was behind. The staff was great. Seated promptly, drinks delivered relatively quickly, and orderstaken within a few minutes of being seated. Very disappointed this time.

The cream was spoiled, making the coffee undrinkable. I got a new cup, but it had the same issue. Unfortunately, no one came to check on us or refill our drinks, so the problem never got resolved. The male server seemed to disappear, and I think a female server took over. However, we weren't informed about the change, and it felt like we were ignored. She dropped off our food, and when I pointed out that my daughter's order was incorrect, she responded with an attitude and then disappeared again.
