"The Lucca Grill in Bloomington is an absolute gem in a historic building that exudes charm and character. One of the coolest aspects of this place is that the servers still use a dumbwaiter for food service—talk about a unique touch! My go-to order here is always the A la Baldini pizza. It's amazing, with a cracker-thin crust and fresh ingredients that make every bite unforgettable. The beer selection is large, offering something for every taste. Though I've only been for lunch, even during busy times, the service is quick and friendly. The dining area is decorated with cool historic artifacts, adding to the ambiance and making it feel like you're dining surrounded by history. Overall, The Lucca Grill is a fantastic place to eat in downtown Bloomington. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy great food in a unique and historic setting."

"Not only the best Chinese food in town, but probably one of the top 3 that I 've tried, and I cover a 3-state area for work. I was blown away--I was 80% sure I was going to get some halfway congealed grub scooped out of this afternoon 's lunch buffet. Usually when I want fresh, crispy vegetables I have to go for Thai, but this place got it right. I ordered the Chicken in Flaming Pan specialty. The portion was decent, the chicken was cooked properly and tasted fresh, the vegetables were crisp, and the sauce was fantastic. Guess I 'm going to have to get Chinese every time I come to Bloomington-Normal now. 5 stars."

"A restaurant with almost no parking, connected to a laundromat, next to Wendy's? This can't be a good place right? Oh boy is that not the case. Aesthetics: The first thing you'll notice when you walk in is that the inside's decor is very appealing! Nice atmosphere with TV paintings and wall outlets by edge tables. The food is all extremely appealing in design, and is well plated. It feels much more formal inside than you would expect outside. Drinks: They do not serve alcohol here, but do allow you to bring in your own and they provide glasses free of charge. They have tea, coffee and other standard sodas. (I can't remember if it was Pepsi or Coke, sorry Appetizers: We've been here several times and have had most of their appetizers and they're all delicious. One thing that sets Jack's apart is that all their condiments are home made (including the ranch)! The Truffle Black Garlic Deviled Eggs are my favorite. Food: I highly recommend the Bison Burger if you're a fan of burgers, it's one of my favorites in town; the aioli sauce on top is perfect. My wife typically gets the Charcuterie Board, which is an assortment of meats, vegetables and cheeses served with bite sized pieces of naan bread. If you're on a date, the skewer tower is a good option if you both want to share something. They serve you a flaming tower of 5 skewers with sides around the base similar to the Characuterie Board, with some additional options. Dessert: We got the House-Made Baklava and it was fantastic. Conclusion: My wife and I have been coming since this place opened, Jack's Restaurant is one of the best restaurants in Normal and the chef owners really put a lot of effort into their food, and it shows. If you're a fan of Mediterranean, you would be doing yourself a disservice not to come here."

"My husband and I ate here today for lunch. Our food was very good but the service was horrible. We were seated right away, got our drinks, then our food, then I watched our waitress walk right out the door, she never returned!! I had my empty cup sitting on the table where anyone could see it for 15-20 mins. Finally someone comes over after my meal is done asking if I would like a refill. When we got our check our bill was higher than it should have been. The menu prices are lower than our bill, he states it’s because of the price of goods going up. But there was no where in the menu stating that. We will not be going back here."

"I can’t speak to how authentic the cuisine is, but I can say that we had a delicious and hot meal during our visit to Bloomington today. The salsa was full of flavor—my wife found it a bit on the spicy side, but I loved it. The guacamole was more suited to her taste. As soon as I saw they offered tongue, I knew I had to try it. I ordered the cow tongue burrito, and the meat was cooked perfectly and bursting with flavor. My wife chose the fish tacos, which she thoroughly enjoyed. Our toddler had a blast pulling apart the tacos, and I also had a taste of the beef taco, which was excellent. The service was fantastic too. Whenever we find ourselves in town again, we will definitely return here!"
