It’s a hidden gem and a little hard to find but the food and hospitality was amazing. All his food is homemade and made fresh from scratch. There was a lot of clutter in the dining area, and the service was extremely slow, although the staff was friendly and professional. I didn't see any restrooms available, which was a concern. The menu had quite a variety of options, but I can't confirm if everything listed was actually offered. Despite all the negatives, I have to say that my sub was very good and served hot. So, if you can overlook some of the small issues, I would recommend this place for the quality of the food. If I return, I think I'll stick with the same order!

Being from New York City, I take my pizza and Italian subs very seriously. Well, I was blow away by Roma Pizza in Highspire--the pizza, even by the slice, was fresh and delicious and the subs, apparently on home-made bread, were huge and scrumptious. I took a huge one piled high with multiple meats and cheeses to a festival and it fed me for two days! And the owner and his family are the real deal--friendly and welcoming. A great neighborhood pizza joint. The food was tasty, with large portion sizes and fair prices. We stopped by Roma Pizza during a long road trip and had a great experience. The owners were very friendly and allowed our toddler to play with their own kiddos while we waited for our food. There are tables to eat there, but we ate at the playground down the street. Kid-friendliness: Definitely kid friendly! The owner's two young children were playing at a table. Our own toddler played with them while we waited for our food.
