"Recently I made the unfortunate decision to visit the White House Grill for dinner. I made this choice after reading many positive reviews. I myself had driven by the restaurant growing up, and always wanted to try it. Upon being seated, I began to have doubts as the lighting and decor were in poor taste and the overall atmosphere was dingy and dark. We started with French onion soup, Fried Lamb meatballs and the Sarmisak dip. Of which the meatballs were burnt and the soup was tasteless. The baguettes that came with the dip were as hard as rock, thank goodness we asked for half pita bread. Things were not off to a good start. We then ordered the Mixed grill and Chicken Rome entrees. What we experienced as disappointment in the appetizers turned into disgust as our entrees were on another level of terrible. The shrimp in the mixed grill were as rubber, the lamb was dry and the fish was underwhelming. The Chicken Rome was so overcooked it was inedible. Both entrees came with a side of asparagus that was so drenched in oil and oversalted they were not fit for human consumption. At this point we hoped against hope that the dessert at least could perhaps save the night. Never were we so disappointed. What should have been the culmination of a good dinner was just another nail in the coffin of our experience. The baklava looked as if it was thrown onto the plate, the small square of pastry was not even centered on the dish, with crumbs and oil drops all over. The first bite revealed it be old, as oil was pooling around the base, and the top layer came off altogether when I tried to take a bite. It was stale. After making this attempt at a good night out we were wholly disheartened by our experience and our fallen hopes. This has been by far the worst restaurant experience I have endured in the Post Falls/CDA area. I will not be returning. I would also highly recommend anyone thinking of visiting this establishment not to waste their time or money."

"We are on an 30+ mile round trip cycling adventure from Spokane, WA to Post Falls, ID. @republickitchen&taphouse was our half way point. We visited pre pandemic and wondered what post pandemic would be like. Wonder no more it is not only better it was relaxing and so friendly that we wanted to stay longer but time is flying and the bikes are calling. The menu has changed, for the better I might add. Our fan favorite of hummus was gone and they added a Relish Extravaganza in its place for those of us with alternative dietary requirements. We had plain sweet potato fries that were more like fried sweet potato than French fries. It was a great move and they were meatier and more delicious if that is even possible. The relish extravaganza was phenomenal! We had pickled beets and peppers with fresh toasted olives, a lively bed of fresh greens and lightly roasted asparagus. The dip with the plate was wicked good or so the husband says with all of the goodies and including the sweet potato fries. Then because all of that was not enough they served us house made potato chips thick cut mind you! They were wicked good without the dip. Again hubby says with dip they were mmmm good! "

"Service was exceptional. Drinks were fabulous. I don't usually applaud restaurant food but the Oval Office deserves praise. I loved the chicken ravioli. We will be headed back this way next week and if its dinner time we will be stopping. Thank you Taitum for your attentive service. And thank you gentlemen in the kitchen for a fabulous meal."

"When I say I was born to be a dad I was born to be a dad and love the dad/corny jokes where I'm going with this is the endless dad jokes at every table were amazing and the fact that the punchline was delivered by the waitress... EVEN BETTER! Needless tosay the wait staff was great. The service was fast and friendly with quick to refill your coffee. We got the biscuits and gravyand the French toast. The French was the perfect home made mama made it Saturday morning style with powered sugar love. Thebiscuits and gravy where FANTASTIC super light and fluffy and the gravy mouthwatering and not over salted. Originally goingsince they opened first in the area but was pleasantly surprised. Highly recommend, they have also been recently voted bestgluten free restaurant in all of Idaho if you care about that thing ????"
