The food was excellent, but the service was quite slow. When I settled my bill, I was accidentally charged for someone else's order, which was twice the amount I owed. Instead of correcting the mistake by reversing the incorrect charge, they simply gave me cash back. This was definitely not the right approach.

We try a lot of BBQ joints and try not to leave negative reviews unless it's warranted. Portions are large, value is good, but service is slow (20 mins for some burgers and BBQ tray), pork is not very flavorful (just smoky), fries are plain, sauces are nothing special at all. If you're really hungry, it's fine, but if you want more flavor and awesome sides, try Smoke Pit 4 miles away.

May be easy to overlook this place BUT DONT. Got chopped Q sandwich. Seriously one of the best in the region. Moist but not mushy. Flavorful with a light but pleasant smokey flavor. Slaw was above average. No skimpy portion here. Piled right up. Only thing that would raise it a notch would be to cook in some or a bit more red pepper. But no complaints. Great little spot and I do mean little... 12 15 tables. BBQ is really good, and they REALLY pile it on the sandwiches you'll probably need a fork. Several sauces to try the house vinegar is great eastern NC sauce. They've also got some really neat and great value lunchtime specials during the week... burgers, home cooking, great veggies. Shares an entrance with a great family bakery so get some unique deserts to take home with you. Service is always friendly though at times recently they've been short staffed.

I absolutely love the cakes at this place! Tucked inside this charming hot dog and BBQ restaurant is a delightful bakery. They offer a variety of homemade treats, including pound cakes, white cakes, pies, cream horns, pastries, cookies, cupcakes, cake squares, and handmade candies. You can even place special orders for cakes or any of their other goodies. The shop is quite busy, and parking can be quite limited. There's a drive-thru for the restaurant side, but if customers aren't careful, it can block the exit, which might be frustrating—but I doubt there's much the owner can do about it given the limited space.
